Some rooms can feel intimidating when you're still finding your footing. But being young doesn't mean you have to wait for permission to learn, contribute, or take part in conversations that shape our communities.

This International Youth Day, we’re celebrating every young person who continues to show up, even when they’re still figuring things out.

May we create more spaces where young people are heard, trusted, and given the chance to grow. πŸ’™

We often call young people the β€œpag-asa ng bayan”, but are we really giving them the space to shape the nation today?

This International Youth Day, let’s look beyond simply celebrating young people. The youth are already navigating today’s crises, contributing to our communities, and speaking up about the future we all share. We don’t need to wait for tomorrow to take them seriously.

We are already here. And the nation is now.

Kinda chic to... what? πŸ‘€βœ¨

Sometimes, the chicest things aren't trends, they're the choices we make every day.

Let's redefine what's "chic." Not just by what we wear or post, but by how we care for our communities, our planet, and each other.

Because making a difference never goes out of style. πŸ’š

Agosto na naman. Panahon na naman ng Linggo ng Kabataan.

Soon, our feeds will be filled with photos of basketball leagues, clean-up drives, leadership seminars, and youth celebrations. But after the tarpaulins are taken down and the trophies are handed out, one question remains: Did we actually celebrate the power and potential of our youth?

The Sangguniang Kabataan represents the largest youth governance network in the country, representing over 42,000 barangays and millions of young Filipinos.

This , let's celebrate youth leadership by expecting more from it.

The rainbow flags may come down. Our commitment to equality shouldn't. 🌈

As we move beyond Pride Month, let us remember that the work of building a more inclusive and equitable society doesn't stop when the rainbow flags come down.

The calendar may move on, but the pursuit of equality belongs to every day that follows.

Maraming salamat sa lahat ng nakasama namin sa ! πŸŒπŸ’š

Sana baunin natin ang mga natutunan natinβ€”not just as new knowledge, but as everyday actions we can practice in our homes, schools, workplaces, and communities. After all, creating a more sustainable future isn't about one big action; it's about the small choices we make every day.

Hanggang sa susunod, let's continue learning, taking action, and working together for a more sustainable and climate-resilient future. 🌱

Ngunit bilang mamamayan, may tungkulin tayong makinig, umunawa, at makilahok.

Disasters don’t just happen β€” they’re shaped by the systems around us. Risks grow when environmental, social, and governance factors are ignored.

1️⃣ Climate change
Rising temperatures are supercharging hazards β€” making floods, droughts, and storms more frequent, intense, and unpredictable.

2️⃣ Environmental degradation
When forests are cleared and wetlands drained, we lose nature’s first line of defence against floods, landslides, and coastal surges.

3️⃣ Poverty & inequality
Communities with fewer resources are often forced to live where hazards hit hardest – without safety nets, each disaster deepens inequality.

4️⃣ Poorly planned urban development
Rapid, unregulated growth leaves cities exposed – weak infrastructure and unsafe housing turn hazards into human catastrophes.

5️⃣ Weak governance
When coordination and accountability are missing, disaster prevention and response are ineffective.

πŸ’‘ Tackling these drivers means tackling risk itself β€” building resilience that lasts.
