Military Bishop Florencio Leads Mass for 9th Death Anniversary of Bishop Tumulak

PASAY CITY, Philippines — Military Bishop, Most Rev. Oscar Jaime L. Florencio, DD, SThD, presided over a Holy Mass commemorating the 9th death anniversary of Most Rev. Leopoldo S. Tumulak on June 17, 2026, at the St. Therese of the Child Jesus Shrine Columbarium.
The solemn celebration honored the life and legacy of Bishop Tumulak, who faithfully served as Military Ordinariate bishop and dedicated his ministry to the spiritual care of members of the armed forces, police, and their families.
Bishop Florencio was joined by clergy of the Military Ordinariate of the Philippines (MOP), who concelebrated the Mass in remembrance of Bishop Tumulak’s enduring contributions to the Church and the nation.
In his message, Bishop Florencio highlighted Bishop Tumulak’s commitment to pastoral service, his humility, and his unwavering faith, encouraging the faithful to continue embodying these virtues in their daily lives.
