The Rotaract Club of Bagong Silangan, in collaboration with the Rotary Community Corps (RCC), participated in The May Bukas Pa Project, an annual Christmas gift-giving by the Rotary Club of Bagong Silangan. The event was held at Humanity Covered Court in Barangay Bagong Silangan, Quezon City last December 7, 2024

The festive celebration brought smiles and holiday cheer to 100 indigent children from the community. The day was filled with joy and excitement as the children participated in lively party games and were captivated by a magical clown performance. The highlight of the event was the gift-giving session, where each child received thoughtful presents that made their holiday season even more special.

The Rotaract Club of Bagong Silangan took part in a meaningful dental seminar at Bagong Silangan Elementary School On November 27, 2024,, aimed at promoting healthy dental habits among young students. The seminar, led by Past President Luther, focused on educating elementary school pupils about the importance of proper dental hygiene and how to maintain a healthy smile for life.

During the session, PP Luther provided a comprehensive discussion on the significance of daily dental care routines, such as brushing, flossing, and regular visits to the dentist. Emphasizing the long-term benefits of maintaining good oral health, he engaged students with practical tips and advice on how to prevent common dental issues, contributing to the health and education of the next generation, one smile at a time.

The Rotaract Club of Bagong Silangan hosted a Rotaract 101 session for aspiring Rotaractors via Google Meet on November 23, 2024. This event aimed to inspire and educate Interactors and volunteers on the vital role of community service and leadership within the framework of Rotary International.

The session provided attendees with detailed insights into the history and mission of the Rotaract Club of Bagong Silangan, along with an overview of Rotaract's vision, values, and the responsibilities of being a Rotaractor.

Through this informative and inspiring session, the Rotaract Club encouraged a deeper appreciation of service and leadership while attracting new members eager to make a meaningful impact. The Rotaract Club of Bagong Silangan actively participated in the second session of Project IDEA: Inclusion through Disability Education and Awareness, hosted by Rotaract Club of Balintawak, held at Rotary Center 3780 on October 19, 2024. This session enhanced participants' awareness and confidence in using sign language, equipping them to communicate more effectively and empathetically with members of the Deaf community.

The project emphasized the importance of inclusivity and sensitivity when interacting with the Deaf community, fostering a deeper understanding of their experiences. Guided by professional instructors from a partner organization, participants learned and practiced basic sign language, gaining valuable skills that can be shared with others to advocate for greater awareness. By promoting inclusivity and raising awareness, the initiative contributes to building a more inclusive and understanding society.

The Rotaract Club of Bagong Silangan, together with our sponsoring club Rotary Club of Bagong Silangan, hosted the INTERACT District Training Assembly 2024 on September 7, 2024 at Quezon City Science High School. This inspiring event brought together over 220 delegates from different high schools from District 3780.

The training showed how important it is to make connections. Students from diverse backgrounds came together to form friendships and engage in meaningful conversations with the speakers, enriching their experience through insightful discussions. They deepened their understanding of their roles and responsibilities, focusing not only on service projects but also on personal growth, leadership development, and a commitment to Rotary's core values. The Rotaract Club of Bagong Silangan successfully conducted their District Rotaract Representatives Visit at Rotary Center District 3780 on August 4, 2024.

During the visit, the club had the privilege to showcase their club's plans and commitment, along with sharing both our past milestones and their future aspirations as they continue to bring magic to the community.

Furthermore, they engaged in meaningful discussions, exchanged valuable insights, and developed collaborative strategies aimed at enhancing their service projects and expanding their impact.
