Last July 29, GFPI proudly welcomed the KOICA Philippines delegation for a meaningful monitoring visit under the Diversification of Livelihood Project a day filled with fruitful discussions, inspiring stories, and a closer look at the real impact of collaborative development work.

The visit kicked off with a productive dialogue between GFPI and KOICA Philippines, reviewing the projectโ€™s progress, milestones, and the road ahead. GFPI Managing Director Jea Kyung led the report, walking the delegation through key achievements and proof that months of dedication are translating into real.

But beyond the numbers, it was the voices from the ground that left the deepest impression. Our partner-beneficiaries opened up about their journeys the triumphs, the challenges, and the everyday grit of running a small business. Their stories of resilience are a powerful reminder that behind every enterprise is a person determined to build a better future for their family.

The team also toured our production areas, witnessing firsthand how passion turns into livelihood.

As the project moves forward, GFPI remains committed to providing beneficiaries with the tools, training, and support they need to achieve long-term self-reliance.

On July 29 2026, our JOY Disability School students traded the usual routine for chef hats this Nutrition Month, creating their own Kani Salad and Kimbap, each with their own personal twist!

From careful knife guidance by our amazing teachers to the pure joy of plating their own creations, every step was a win.

And the best part? Take-home treats for everyone, plus our GFPI staff got to taste the studentsโ€™ delicious handiwork!

PWD organizations from Brgy. Commonwealth and Brgy. Pasong Putik joined a Data Profiling seminar hosted by the Las Piรฑas PWD Federation Inc. (LPPWDFI) in coordination of our project partner Leonard Cheshire Disability Philippines Foundation (LCDPF)

Last July 16, 2026, at the Senior Citizen Center, BF Resort Village, Talon Dos, Las Piรฑas City.

DPO officers learned inclusive ways to collect and analyze data, then put it into practice with a hands-on system exercise.

Accurate data means stronger advocacy and better projects for the PWD community.

(GFPI) continues to champion the rights, inclusion, and empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) through sustainable livelihood opportunities and community-based development initiatives.

Through the ๐ƒ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐‹๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ฅ๐ข๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ ๐’๐ญ๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐–๐ƒ๐ฌ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐“๐ก๐ž๐ข๐ซ ๐‡๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ž๐ก๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ฌ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐ž๐œ๐ญ, GFPI promotes economic empowerment by equipping PWDs and their families with business and vocational skills, coaching, market access, and livelihood support. These efforts help create pathways toward financial independence, dignity, and meaningful participation in society.

Beyond livelihood development, GFPI advocates for ๐š๐œ๐œ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐›๐ฅ๐ž ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ง๐œ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ where PWDs can fully participate in education, employment, entrepreneurship, and community decision-making. The organization works closely with local government units, community partners, and stakeholders to strengthen disability-inclusive practices and opportunities.

As we celebrate National Disability Rights Week, we encourages the ๐ ๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ซ๐š๐ฅ ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐›๐ฅ๐ข๐œ, ๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐ฏ๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐ฌ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐จ๐ซ, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐ž๐š๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ to take part, actively observe and promote inclusivity in their daily lives.

On June 17, 2026, we officially launched Day 1 of the Business Training under our Diversification of Livelihood Strategies for PWDs and Their Households program. This marks another important step in equipping our sixty (60) partner beneficiaries with the entrepreneurial knowledge, skills, and confidence to start and sustain their own livelihood.

In partnership with Leonard Cheshire Disability Philippines Foundation Inc. and Christian Blind Mission, this initiative is more than just business training, it is about creating opportunities, restoring dignity, and proving that disability is never a barrier to growth and success.

For many persons with disabilities and their families, livelihood is not only about earning, it is about hope, independence, and the power to dream bigger for tomorrow.

On June 10, 2026, the GFPI Project Team conducted a meaningful learning visit to Bigkis ng PWD Association Inc. (BIPA) in Caloocan City as part of its continuous effort to strengthen community-based organizing and empowerment initiatives for persons with disabilities (PWDs).

The visit served as an important opportunity for the team to gain valuable insights into the responsibilities, challenges, and processes involved in establishing and sustaining a peopleโ€™s organization. Through open discussions and knowledge-sharing, BIPA shared their journey, best practices, and successful initiatives that have helped empower their members and build a stronger, more resilient community.

One of the key highlights of the visit was learning about BIPAโ€™s community savings groups, income-generating activities, and organizational strategies that have contributed to their growth and sustainability. These initiatives showcased practical approaches on how PWD communities can create opportunities for financial independence while fostering solidarity and mutual support.
