The 2025 CWTP Turn-Over Ceremony in Sitio Tibag, Panapaan 2, Bacoor, Cavite, held on December 7, 2025, marked a significant milestone in Godโ€™s ongoing work as the community witnessed the formal transition of the church to Jesus Heartline Gospel Mission Church. The event highlighted concrete results of the church-planting mission, over 60 adults and youth baptized, consistent weekly worship services, active Bible study groups, prayer meetings, youth ministry, and Saturday kids ministry, alongside the establishment of emerging church leaders and youth officers. The moment Pastor Alberto Basi received the symbolic key of responsibility deeply affirmed the collective belief that the ministryโ€™s growth is the work of God and the Holy Spirit, carried through faithful servants across seasons. The theme โ€œAng Pagharian ng Diyos ay Mahalagaโ€ (Matthew 6:33) resonated powerfully as the community experienced the joy and blessing that come from seeking God first in all circumstances. The progress in Sitio Tibag, from the provision of the church lot and building to livelihood initiatives and strengthened discipleship serves as a testament to Godโ€™s enduring faithfulness, inspiring confidence that the newly entrusted local church will continue to flourish, multiply leaders, and expand Godโ€™s kingdom in the years ahead.

The church turn-over was graced by the presence of Pastor Leo Armas (with his wife- Ammi Armas), Pastor Ronnel Severa, and Pastor Eric Cubillo, representing the CWTP Board of Trustees. Joining the celebration were Pastor Ramon Padilla, the mission team leader, together with his wife, Sis. Evelyn Padilla, and his co-laborers in the mission, Pastor Sonny and Grace Besmonte. To God be all the glory.

The turn-over ceremony of Companion With the Poor (CWTP) in Sta. Rosa, Laguna on November 30, 2025 proved to be one of the most memorable in the missionโ€™s journey. Not because of grand preparations or special programs but because the sanctuary itself, the very place where Godโ€™s people gather, was still flooded inside. For four long months, the church had been living with water pooled across its floors. The members had no choice but to walk, worship, and pray in boots. On the day of the turn-over itself, the scene remained the same: "baha sa loob mismo ng church", church members and leaders standing with boots on, yet wearing unshakable hope on their faces.

And in this unlikely setting, ankle-deep water, soaked floors, and yet overflowing faith, CWTP formally entrusted the full responsibility and leadership of the Sta. Rosa congregation to the Gospel of Godโ€™s Grace Community Church, under the faithful care of Pastor John Amacio and Teacher Felrose Amacio.

The turn-over certificate, signed by CWTP leaders; Pastor Bart Valeriano, Pastor Ramon Padilla, Pastor Leo Armas together with the assigned team Pastor Abrillo Galang , Pastor Reggie Garcia and Pastor Joel Sena, affirmed that the spiritual leadership, shepherding, and congregation care were now fully entrusted to the church . But the heart of the ceremony went beyond signatures. It was a testimony of Godโ€™s sustaining grace in a community that continued their Christian journey even when their building had remained underwater for months.

To mark this sacred passing of responsibility, CWTP departed from the usual tradition. Instead of handing over a ceremonial church key, they presented a ๐˜š๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ฅโ€™๐˜ด ๐˜š๐˜ต๐˜ข๐˜ง๐˜ง, a symbol of Christlike leadership, faithful guidance, and pastoral care. It was a fitting emblem for a church that had weathered literal and spiritual storms, yet remained steadfast in serving their community.
As Pastor John received the Shepherdโ€™s Staff with both hands, the sound of water gently rippling beneath their feet became a quiet reminder: ๐˜ฎ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ด๐˜ข๐˜ฏ, ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜ฎ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ช๐˜ด๐˜ต๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜บ๐˜ฐ ๐˜ข๐˜บ ๐˜ฉ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ๐˜ช ๐˜ญ๐˜ข๐˜จ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜ต๐˜ถ๐˜บ๐˜ฐ, ๐˜ฌ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜ต๐˜ข๐˜ฃ๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ, ๐˜ฐ ๐˜ฎ๐˜ข๐˜ข๐˜บ๐˜ฐ๐˜ด.......

With every challenge, including the persistent flood, God continued to raise leaders who would walk with His people no matter the season. Despite their situation, the congregation of 3G Sta. Rosa chose faith over discouragement, service over complaint, and resilience over retreat. The turn-over became a declaration that the church is not defined by the condition of its building, but by the steadfastness of its people and the faithfulness of its God.

CWTP celebrates this milestone with deep joy, trusting that Gospel of Godโ€™s Grace Community Church will continue the mission of proclaiming the Word, discipling believers, and caring for the community even when the waters rise.

On November 23, 2025, Companion with the Poor marked a sacred and historic moment as we officially turned over the full responsibility and stewardship of the Christian congregation in Barangay Manggahan Phase 5, San Jose Montalban, Rizal, to the Synagogue for Jesus Church under the pastoral care of Pastor Norberto Endab and Pastora Precilda Endab; a decision affirmed with deep trust, unity, and prayerful discernment. Led by Pastor Bartolome Valeriano, CWTP Executive Director, Pastor Ramon Padilla, CWTP Church Planting Department Head, and Pastor Raymond Vizcaya, CWTP Mission Team Leader, together with mission team members Pastor Johnlee Lugnasin and Pastor Jojie Limjoco.

The CWTP family stood side by side with the congregation, remembering years of journeying with the poor, planting seeds of faith, and building a community rooted in the gospel. Yet beyond the formal ceremony was the beating heart of the momentโ€”stories of transformed lives, tears of gratitude, and the quiet assurance that the work planted in humility will continue to flourish under new shepherds. And as the mantle of leadership changed hands, hope rose among us: that Synagogue for Jesus Church will not only continue the mission but deepen it, carrying forward the vision of seeing a sustainable church in every slum, where the poor are not merely recipients but empowered givers, and where Godโ€™s light continues to shine from the margins to the heart of the community.

The CWTP Church Planting Ministry in Cebu conducted a Relief Operation for families affected by Typhoon Tino in Lawaan III, Talisay City, Cebu. Despite being among those also affected, the CWTP missionaries served wholeheartedly. The Cebu Team, led by Flor Encomio and Moises Maaghop, together with members Cristina Maaghop, Noralyn Hualde, Shirley Easton, Machester and Junalon Madelo, and Hadassah Amoroso, carried out the mission under the supervision of Rev. Winston Pinzon.

In partnership with Care Caravan, 300 families received 5 kilos of rice, a loaf of bread, and undergarments. The effort was made possible through the joint work of CWTP Cebu missionaries, Christian Church Fellowship led by Pastor Roland Sumalinog, church partners, and volunteers. Further relief operations are planned in the coming days as CWTP continues to extend compassion and support to more affected communities.

When the missionaries arrived in Lawaan III and Sitio Mangga, the aftermath of the typhoon was heartbreakingโ€”homes damaged, roads cluttered, and hearts weary. Yet amid the debris, faith and unity shone brightly. The missionaries and church members worked side by side, cleaning, restoring, and praying together. Even though some of them were personally affected by the storm, they chose to serve others first. Their smiles and willingness became a living testimony that Godโ€™s love cannot be hindered by hardship. Every act of giving, every lifted sack of rice, every prayer sharedโ€”became a seed of hope sown in the midst of pain.

Through Godโ€™s grace, strength, and provision, the relief operation was a success. The community of Lawaan III witnessed not just aid, but the love and compassion of Christ at work. Pastor Roland Sumalinog expressed deep gratitude on behalf of the church and the families served:

The CWTP team praises God for His protection, provision, and faithfulness. They remain hopeful that through continued prayers and partnerships, more families will experience the tangible love of Jesus. Indeed, when Godโ€™s people unite in service, hope rises even from the ruins.

Today, the CWTP Missionaries gathered for a Deepening Course on Discipleship in Ministry Partnership Development (DMPD) โ€” a meaningful time of reflection, learning, and renewal of calling. Led by Pastor Leo Armas, Pastor Don Reyes, Pastor Ronnel Severa, and Pastor Paul and Queenie Rollet, the session reminded everyone that DMPD is more than just learning how to raise funds; it is about building relationships rooted in faith, partnership, and shared mission.

The course emphasized that inviting others to support missions is not merely asking for money, but Itโ€™s about forming a community of believers who walk together in obedience to Godโ€™s call, especially in serving the urban poor communities where the light of Christ continues to shine through the work of CWTP.

In every testimony and discussion, the missionaries were reminded that true partnership is discipleship โ€” a sacred collaboration between senders and goers, both fulfilling the will of God in love, faith, and generosity.

Relief Operation โ€“ Pulong Bukid, Sta. Rosa, Laguna
By Abrillo โ€œJojoโ€ Galang, Mission Team Leader, CWTP

By Godโ€™s grace, our team was able to carry out a successful relief operation in our mission area in Pulong Bukid, Sta. Rosa, Laguna. I was joined by Pastor Joel Sena and Pastor Reggie Garcia, and together we responded to the urgent needs of the community still suffering from the aftermath of the southwest monsoon. Thankfully, the skies cleared, even though floodwaters remained in many areas of the barangay.

We met as a team at 9:00 AM to purchase rice and groceries, and we were able to complete everything by 2:00 PM. The most challenging part was not the planning or the packingโ€”but carrying the relief goods through flooded streets. We had to cross bridges and wade through water while carrying heavy supplies. But we were not alone.

We are deeply thankful to the parents, youth, and even children who helped carry the loadโ€”many barefoot, without boots, unbothered by the flood for the sake of helping others. Lunch came late for us, but everyone was full of joy as we transitioned into the repacking. The spirit of unity and shared purpose was evident; people worked hand-in-hand with one goal: to be a blessing to those in need.

We also thank the HOA President and his team, who helped us identify and list the families most affected by the flooding. We prioritized families who are members of the church, regular attendees of our Bible studies, and those whose homes were severely flooded.

As we walked through the community, we were met with both gratitude and heartbreak. Some rejoiced in receiving help, while others were disheartened not to be among the first 100 families chosen as beneficiaries. Many of these families were equally affected, with water still inside their homes. This, to me, was the hardest partโ€”not the logistics or preparation, but having to choose who would receive aid first when so many were in need.

There are also families staying in evacuation centers, who return during the day to guard their homes. In past incidents, unattended homes were lootedโ€”groceries stolen, fences dismantled for wood, and homes broken into. Flooded and robbedโ€”that's the reality some of them are facing.
Another heartbreaking observation: most residents, young and old alike, wade through the flood without boots. Many elders have already developed fungal infections, and the risk of leptospirosis is rising. The water has not receded, and their water pumps (poso) have been compromised.

Because of this, we hope to raise support for 12 pairs of knee-high boots and anti-leptospirosis medicine, especially for the first 100 people who bravely go in and out of the flood daily to help distribute or receive aid.

At the end of the day, our team gathered together, shared a meal, and lifted a prayer of thanksgiving. Despite the weight of the needs, our hearts were filled with joy, knowing we did what we couldโ€”together and with the help of God.

To God be all the glory!

Relief Operation: Sitio Anginan, San Isidro, Montalban, Rizal

I am Jonar Flores, Mission Team Leader of Companion With The Poor (CWTP). Together with my teammate Muriel Gallos and our church partner, Christ is Coming Amityville Churchโ€”under the leadership of Pastor Dennis and Pastora Monalisa Duranโ€”we conducted a relief operation in one of our church planting areas, Sitio Anginan, San Isidro, Montalban, Rizal, on the morning of Saturday, July 26, 2025.

Sitio Anginan is a remote and underserved community tucked in the hills of Montalban. The people here are among the most vulnerable in the area. Most earn their livelihood by crafting sticks from bamboo. Others risk their lives panning for gold in the river flowing from the Sierra Madre mountainsโ€”uncertain and dangerous work that brings no guarantee of income.

Due to the recent heavy monsoon rains, the people of Sitio Anginan are facing serious challenges. Landslides and strong water currents from the mountains have placed their community at risk. All the bamboo in the area is soaked and unusable, leaving many families without any means of earning for days.

Getting to Sitio Anginan was not easy. The road was almost impassable, filled with large potholes and thick mud caused by the constant passage of trucks hauling gravel and soil from the nearby quarry. We had to borrow a vehicle just to transport the relief goods. Even then, our vehicle struggled to climb through the steep, muddy, and obstructed pathโ€”branches fallen from trees made the journey even more difficult. But we pressed on.

When we finally arrived, the joy on the faces of the people was overwhelming. Their eyes lit up with gratitude as they received the relief packs. They thanked God, believing their prayers for food had been answered that very day. Because of the communityโ€™s remote location, they rarely receive immediate helpโ€”especially in times of disaster. We, too, thank the Lord for the opportunity to bring comfort and hope. Even just for a moment, we were able to ease their fears and hunger.

To God be all the glory.
