I Love QC It's more fun in Quezon City

Like Us For More Updates Quezon. Tomas Morato and Timog Avenue are the places to be seen, with the hottest dining and night spots.

Perhaps the most striking feature of the city though is an homage to the man who conceived the city, Manuel L. The Quezon Memorial Circle is a 27-hectare park with a marble mausoleum and a 217-foot shrine that juts out to the sky. Late nights here reach way into the early morning, and bars are open pretty much until you close it down. Near two of the country’s largest television stations, GMA and

ABS-CBN, star sightings are the norm. You might even rub shoulders with one of our famed artistas. Many of the important government bodies and agencies are here including the House of Representatives in the Batasang Pambansa Complex. And to observe these celebrities and starlets in action, watch a show, concert or basketball game in Araneta Coliseum. The world’s largest covered dome when it was built in the sixties, this Coliseum is perhaps most famous for “Thrilla in Manila,” the fight between Muhammad Ali and Joe Fraser. By far, Quezon City has the largest population in the Metro. At 2.7 million and counting, the city needs lots of resources. The La Mesa Ecopark provides the water needs not only to the residents but also to the rest of the megalopolis. And it’s also an eco-park for hikers, team building activities, and those who just want to get away. Although Quezon City has not been the capital for the last 30 years, it sure still seems like it.
