The Philippine Society of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers (PSABE) proudly congratulates Engr. Noel Hamor, Head of ABE Division, City Government of Bayawan, Negros Oriental, on his conferment as an 𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐍 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫 (ACPE) during the 18th ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer Conferment Ceremony held on June 1, 2026, at Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria, Quezon City.

As the 𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐂𝐏𝐄 in the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering profession in the Philippines, this achievement reflects his dedication, competence, and commitment to professional excellence.

Joining the celebration were Hon. Sherwin O. Valdez, ACPE, ASEAN Eng., Chairman of the Professional Regulatory Board of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, and Engr. Romel G. Tiangco, ACPE, ASEAN Eng., PSABE National Secretary, who were likewise recognized and awarded Certificates of Appreciation for their valuable service as members of the Panel of Experts.

The PSABE Family is proud of Engr. Hamor’s remarkable achievement and extends its warmest congratulations and best wishes for his continued success and contributions to the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering profession.

𝐏𝐒𝐀𝐁𝐄 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐓𝐂 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

QUEZON CITY — The Philippine Society of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers (PSABE), represented by its National President, Engr. Peachie B. Melendez, actively participated in the Philippine Technological Council (PTC) Regular Board Meeting held on May 21, 2026, at the University Hotel, UP Diliman, Quezon City.

The meeting gathered the Presidents and representatives of the thirteen (13) Engineering Professional Organizations (EPOs) under the PTC to discuss key initiatives and programs aimed at advancing the engineering profession in the country.

Among the major matters discussed were the preparations for the PTWED 2026 and the 2nd NEMO, including a nationwide Arbor Day tree-planting activity. Updates on international engineering engagements, capacity-building programs, ASEAN Engineer and International Professional Engineer registries, and the review of the PTC Constitution and By-Laws were also presented.

The Board likewise approved new ASEAN Engineer and International Professional Engineer applicants, discussed CAFEO 43 financial matters, and encouraged all EPOs to submit their 2026 activity calendars to strengthen coordination among engineering organizations.

𝐏𝐒𝐀𝐁𝐄 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔–𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩

QUEZON CITY — The Philippine Society of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers (PSABE) successfully conducted its 1st Board of Trustees Meeting and Strategic Planning Workshop for Fiscal Year 2026–2027 on May 29, 2026, bringing together the PSABE National Board of Trustees, Advisers, Young Engineers Section (YES), and Pre-Professional Group (PPG) Presidents to discuss key organizational matters and chart the future direction of the Society.

During the morning session, the Board reviewed the accomplishments of the previous administration, received the official turnover of organizational records, discussed the financial status of the Society, approved convention-related actions, and deliberated on important governance concerns. The Board likewise approved twelve (12) resolutions covering organizational governance, financial management, committee structures, accreditation transactions, and other institutional matters necessary for the effective operation of PSABE.

A major highlight of the meeting was the approval of the PSABE Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program for Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Professionals. Under the initiative, PSABE will conduct regular monthly CPD trainings with corresponding CPD credit units, which will be offered free of charge to PSABE members with updated payment of annual dues.

The Board also discussed upcoming national and international engagements, including participation in the Asia-Pacific Conference on Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization, support for regional board examination review initiatives, strengthening of regional chapter operations, and the continued promotion of the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering profession.

In the afternoon, the Board proceeded with the Strategic Planning Workshop and reviewed the proposed PSABE 1-Year Strategic Plan for 2026–2027, which serves as the foundation year of the Society’s 2026–2030 Strategic Plan. Priority programs were identified under the areas of Professional Development, Policy and Governance, Institutional Development, Partnerships and Outreach, Profession Promotion, Youth Development, Gender and Development, and the implementation of flagship activities such as the ABE Week, ABE International Conference, and National Convention.

Through the meeting and planning workshop, PSABE reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the organization, advancing the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering profession, expanding opportunities for members, and delivering meaningful programs that contribute to national development and professional excellence.
