✨ ORANGE THE WORLD ✨
Empowering Women for a Safer Tomorrow

Today, we follow one woman’s simple “get ready with me” moment — but with a deeper purpose.

As she steps out to run errands, she reminds us of a truth many women carry daily: staying alert, staying aware, and staying strong.

From her journey as a nursing student to becoming a proud member of the Inner Wheel Club of Holy Spirit, she shares how advocacy, compassion, and empowerment guide her every step.

Her voice. Her story. Her purpose.

Join us as we stand against violence towards women and uplift those who continue to fight for safety, respect, and dignity.

🧡 Let’s stand together. Let’s Orange the World.

Legal, Income Generation, and Total Aid Sanitation (L.I.G.T.A.S.) Outreach Program with the women PDLs of Marikina City Jail Female Dormitory

October 16, 2025 – In a powerful demonstration of community collaboration and compassion, the L.I.G.T.A.S. Activity unfolded as a beacon of hope for women Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) during a meaningful event held from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Spearheaded by the Inner Wheel Club (IWC) of Holy Spirit in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Metropolitan Pateros, the project delivered critical knowledge, support, and care to those often overlooked by society.

The activity was held in partnership with the BJMP Marikina City Jail Female Dormitory authorities and aimed to uphold human dignity, promote legal awareness, and support the reintegration journey of PDL through targeted interventions.

Education and Empowerment through Lectures

Nearly 200 PDLs participated in two major awareness sessions:
• A Safe Spaces Act lecture educated 195 PDLs on the importance of creating and respecting safe, inclusive environments free from sexual harassment and abuse.
• A Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) lecture, attended by the same group, deepened understanding of legal protections, gender sensitivity, and the importance of respect in relationships.

These informative discussions were designed not only to inform but also to challenge old mindsets and inspire transformation from within.

Pathways to Livelihood and Reintegration

A separate Livelihood Lecture brought inspiration and practical knowledge to 80 PDLs, introducing potential skills and income-generating opportunities that could support their reintegration into society. Empowering PDLs with vocational insights is a crucial step in preventing recidivism and building a more inclusive community.

Legal Aid and Compassionate Care

Recognizing the often-limited access PDLs have to legal support, the activity provided Legal Consultation services to 20 individuals, allowing them to ask questions and receive guidance on their respective legal concerns.

To further uplift the beneficiaries' well-being, the project also included the distribution of 200 hygiene kits, ensuring that dignity and cleanliness remain part of their daily lives despite difficult circumstances.

Unity in Service

The L.I.G.T.A.S. activity (which stands for Legal, Income Generation, and Total Aid Sanitation) served as a testament to the power of collaborative outreach.

The joint effort of IWC Holy Spirit and the Rotary Club of Metropolitan Pateros reflects their unwavering commitment to justice, equity, and rehabilitation.

As the event concluded, volunteers, legal professionals, and organizers left with a renewed sense of purpose—reminded that every life, regardless of its current circumstance, holds the potential for change.

Step-up: CHAMPION CHILDREN's RIGHTS

On October 15, 2025, a meaningful school based outreach program was held by the Inner Wheel Club of Holy Spirit, District 378 at San Roque Elementary School, Marikina City. The activity brought together volunteers in an activity filled with learning, compassion, and joy for the school's young learners.

The event featured a Children's Rights lecture where participants were taught about their basic rights including food, shelter, clothing, and right to education in an interactive way through distribution of bookmarks written therein their fundamental rights as a child.

Following the lecture, a "Read a Book" session was conducted by the Jail Officers of BJMP Marikina City Jail Female Dormitory which inspired the children to develop a love for reading and learning.

To further brighten the day, a gift giving and feeding activity, sharing nutritious meals with the 80 children who participated with smile and gratitude.

The activity aimed to promote awareness of every child's right while encouraging everyone to step up and lead by example.
