HASH is a non-profit, community-based organization that is on a mission to empower Filipino communities and to ensure that people affected by HIV have access to the support that they need. Founded by Desi Andrew Ching and Michael De Guzman in 2015, HASH had humble beginnings in a shared office while developing and advocating for Community-Based HIV Screening and Community Case Management programs in the Philippines. The organization also brought PrEP, or Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis, closer to the community. Now one of the fastest-growing non-profits in the HIV awareness advocacy, HASH stays true to its goal to improve the s*xual health and lives of Filipinos. HASH offers inclusive screening, prevention, treatment, and education services. The organization is located in Cubao, Quezon City, and it also has volunteers ready to help on the ground. Hindi sapat na available ang HIV testing, PrEP, condoms, treatment, at iba pang services kung kulang naman ang impormasyon kung saan, paano, at bakit ito maa-access.

During the House plenary deliberations on the proposed 2027 DOH budget, Rep. Sarah Elago asked about funding for HIV-related information and education. DOH budget sponsor Rep. Albert Garcia cited a โ‚ฑ283.813 million proposed allocation for 2027, higher than the amounts cited for 2025 and 2026. The House deliberated on the DOH budget on September 24, 2026.

HIV education means funding informed choices, better access, and stronger pathways to care.

Lenacapavir (LEN) is a long-acting injectable PrEP option for HIV prevention that is given every six months. The World Health Organization recommended LEN as an additional PrEP choice after clinical trials showed it to be highly effective at preventing HIV acquisition.
