The SIKLO Wear & Care project cycle is complete!
This MWF-led initiative tapped Manila Water employees—known as Katubigs, to live out and wear sustainability by donating their pre-loved corporate uniforms and transforming them into useful, stylish products blended with circular economy principles.

The initiative rolled out a multi-site Wear & Care Caravan, engaging employees across the Manila Water Main Office in Quezon City, the Manila Water Philippine Ventures Office, and the East Zone Service Areas across Metro Manila. The Wear & Care project also reached Katubigs from Clark Water, Estate Water, and Laguna Water.

The Wear & Care pilot project closes with these accomplishments:
👥 300 employees engaged
👕 1,376 pieces of pre-loved uniforms returned
⚖️ 275 kilograms of textile waste diverted from landfills
🏭💨 6,880 kilograms of CO₂ emissions avoided—an environmental benefit equivalent to planting more than 312 trees. 🌳🌳🌳

Manila Water Foundation thanks the Manila Water Company Sustainability Department and the Corporate Human Resources Group, for the support in championing the enterprise sustainability agenda through the SIKLO Wear & Care project.

Taun-taon, maraming buhay ang nawawala at mga bahay at ari-ariang nasisira dahil sa bagyo, baha, lindol at iba pang mga kalamidad. Hindi man natin masasabi kung kailan mangyayari ang mga ito, mainam na mabuting handa tayo, Katubig!

Isang paalala ngayong National Disaster Resilience Month na i-check ang inyong mga go-bags kung sapat ang mga ito para sa buong pamilya. Maigi na ring pag-usapan kung saan pwedeng magkita kung sakaling magkahiwa-hiwalay kayo sa gitna ng kalamidad. Dapat na i-check ang inyong bahay at gawin ang mga hakbang upang ito ay patibayin upang maging ligtas at mabawasan ang maaaring pinsala kung sakaling may sumalantang bagyo o lindol.

LINGAP I WASHup, WASHup! 👋🏻💧🫧 Manila Water Foundation, in partnership with Prime Infra Foundation, recently inaugurated two sets of 10-faucet hygiene facilities in two schools in the Municipality of Pakil, Laguna. 💧💧💧

The recently inaugurated hygiene facilities, as part of the Manila Water Foundation’s Lingap program, were in Cornelio Celis Dalena Elementary and in Pakil Elementary School, impacting more than 1,200 individuals. These are in continuous support of the WASH in Schools (WinS) program of the Department of Education.

Leaders present in the inauguration included DepEd Pakil Public Schools District Supervisor Julie Sarmiento, the School Heads of Cornelio Celis Dalena Elementary School and Pakil Elementary School.

Pakil Municipal Mayor Ronald James "Unad" Hidalgo was represented by his Executive Assistant, Mr. Patrick Hidalgo. The Mayor and the DepEd leaders expressed their gratitude to Manila Water Foundation and Prime Infra Foundation represented by CSR Program and Operations Head Ms Bernadette Tan and Community Affairs Manager Mr Cirio Pastolero. The leaders said the donations highlighted the importance of collaboration for health and sanitation for learners and everyone on campus💧👋🏼🫧. In his message, Manila Water Foundation Executive Director Reginald Andal said the Lingap programs in the community demonstrate the synergy of care for the health and well-being Pakilenyo learners. 🏫 ✏️🎒

In the continuing partnership for Pinas, and to enable hygiene habits to fight germs, hygiene kits with hand towels and bars of Safeguard were handed over to learners. Completing the set of donations from Prime Infra Foundation and Manila Water Foundation, info-education posters on proper hygiene, and sets of WASH Up! Handwashing Stations were handed over to the Municipality of Pakil for installation in health centers across the town.🏥💧👋🏼🫧

AHON I Manila Water Foundation and Hann Foundation presented the Memorandum of Agreement for the implementation of water access, sanitation and hygiene or WASH programs in the Municipality of Bamban, Tarlac. The partnership, with support from Clark Water, to benefit the Ayta Mag-antsi reinforces both organizations’ commitment to support rural and cultural communities. 💧💧💧

Manila Water Foundation Executive Director Reginald Andal and Hann Foundation’s Manager Ronnel Golimlim presented the copies of the MOA last 03 July when both organizations were present at the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Conference of the League of Corporate Foundations. Reflecting the 2026 conference theme, “Adapt. Align. Accelerate,” the partnership between Hann Foundation and Manila Water Foundation demonstrates a shared commitment to collaborative action. 🤝

LINGAP | Manila Water Foundation, in partnership with Erceflora, handed over 12 Refrigerated Drinking Fountains (RDFs) and 600 hygiene kits at the De Castro Elementary School in Pasig City.

The donation handover was attended by leaders of key partners. Present were Opella Healthcare Philippines Country Manager Emma Valette joined by DepEd School Governance and Operations Division Chief of the Schools Division Office Pasig City, Dr Victor Javeña, the 12 school heads and representatives, Parent-Teachers Association (PTA) officials, and school healthcare professionals in Pasig City.

A highlight of the event was a Gut Health and Diarrheal Management Talk by pediatric infectious disease expert, Dr Jo-ann De Castro. The session reminded everyone on diarrhea prevention, and the role of probiotics in maintaining gut health.

To reach more learners, a Batang Matatag WASH Paaralan hygiene education and gut health session will be held in four select Pasig City Batang Matatag school partners. To enable health habits, 600 hygiene kits with hand towels, a bar of soap and water tumblers were handed over to the Batang Matatag school partners. Boxes of Erceflora Gut Defense probiotics were also provided to all the 44 Pasig City schools to support learners’ gut health and overall well-being.

School Heads of De Castro Elementary School and Palatiw Elementary School expressed their gratitude to Opella Healthcare Philippines and Manila Water Foundation for the WASH interventions that will support the hydration needs, health and well-being of more than 45,084 learners, teachers and members across the 12 schools.

Manila Water Foundation is a proud finalist in the 2026 League of Corporate Foundations (LCF) Guild Awards, under the Outstanding CSR Collaboration Project for The Bohelebung Water System in Tipo-Tipo, Basilan.

Manila Water Foundation, Metrobank Foundation and Zuellig Family Foundation heeded the league-wide call aimed at preventing child wasting and stunting in the country: the LCF Initiative for Food Security, Nutrition and Empowerment (LIFE).

Through the synergy of the three organizations, and in partnership with the Municipal Government of Tipo-Tipo and the Provincial Government of Basilan, Barangay Bohelebung now has a water system that produces 💧💧💧 350,000 liters of potable water daily, reaching more than 2,500 residents.

Manila Water Foundation dedicates this citation to our partners and to the families of Barangay Bohelebung in Tipo-Tipo, Basilan. The Project Bohelebung Water System project partners believe that when clean water reaches communities, hope flows, health thrives and peace becomes possible.

At the 2026 LCF Guild Awards ceremony, QC Mayor Joy Belmonte was the guest of honor, and the Manila Water Foundation had a photo opportunity with her. Mayor Joy Belmonte acknowledged the water access, sanitation and hygiene or WASH support of Manila Water Foundation to schools, public spaces of the city, and the stewardship of 🌳🦜🦋 La Mesa Ecopark in Barangay Greater Lagro.

In her message, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte cited how collaboration is important between corporate foundations and local governments to champion change, and that social development programs for health, housing, climate resilience are key partners for progress. 💧 📈💙

LINGAP | Manila Water Foundation and the Manila Water Rizal Service Area handed over 25 refrigerated drinking fountains (RDFs) 💧for schools and public spaces in Antipolo City last 25 June.

The handover was witnessed by leaders from the DepEd Schools Division Office – Antipolo City, the MWSS Corporate Office and the MWSS Regulatory Office who were pleased to see the strong partnership between the public and private sectors for schools.

Antipolo City Vice-Mayor Randy Puno expressed his gratitude to Manila Water Foundation and to the Manila Water Rizal Service Area for the donation not just for schools, but also to the city’s public spaces. He said that the RDFs in schools are greatly appreciated, serving thousands of learners in Antipolo City especially in warm days on campus.

LINGAP | Manila Water Foundation and the Manila Water Taguig-Pateros Service Area handed over refrigerated drinking fountains (RDFs) to 28 schools in Taguig City and the Municipality of Pateros last Tuesday, 23 June. Witnessed by leaders from the MWSS Corporate Office, the MWSS Regulatory Office and the Department of Education, the Lingap handover demonstrates Manila Water Foundation’s commitment to support and shape healthy and safe learning campuses for learners through the provision of refreshingly clean, potable water.💧

Representing the Taguig City Government, the RDFs handover was attended by Taguig City First District Councilor Atty Joy Panga-Cruz and Taguig City Second District Councilor Evelyn Villamor. Councilor Panga-Cruz shared the City Mayor’s thanks to Manila Water Foundation for the support for learners, teachers, and everyone on campus.🏫

Department of Education Secretary Sonny was represented by Assistant Secretary Cilette Liboro Co. In her message, she conveyed the DepEd’s gratitude to Manila Water Foundation for the impactful and meaningful support for campuses across the country.

The Memorandum of Agreement between the Department of Education and Manila Water Foundation was presented within the morning's program.
