AGAPAY: WASH in Emergencies | Manila Water Foundation, in partnership with the Manila Water Pasig Service Area, provided hydration support for families in evacuation centers who were affected by a recent fire incident in Barangay Caniogan, Pasig City.

This incident displaced over 240 individuals who took shelter in an evacuation center. Katubigs from the Pasig Service Area handed over 48 units of 5-gallon potable drinking water for the affected families.

Manila Water Foundation joins the Bureau of Fire Protection and the Pasig City Local Government in promoting safety in homes and communities to prevent fire incidents.

Manila Water Foundation was among the partners present at the Department of Education Partner’s Appreciation Day last 8 May 2026.

Manila Water Foundation was recognized by the DepEd Philippines Central Office for supporting improved learning environments through WinS or WASH in Schools, strengthening learners’ health and well-being across the country.

In 2025, Manila Water Foundation implemented 119 WASH projects through the Lingap (WASH infrastructure development) and Lunas (hygiene education) programs. The Lingap program involves the installation of multi-faucet hygiene facilities, the rehabilitation of school water lines, and the handover of refrigerated drinking fountains (RDFs)💧💧💧. Heightening awareness on health habits, Lunas, is implemented in schools and reminds learners on the steps to proper toothbrushing🪥💧, proper handwashing👋🧼💧 and proper sanitation🚽💧💧💧.

The WASH projects in 2025 improved water access on campus and supported the health and well-being of more than 360,000 learners, teachers, and staff.

Manila Water Foundation Executive Director Reginald Andal expressed his gratitude to DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara for the recognition. He said the success of Manila Water Foundation’s WASH programs is made possible through collaboration with generous partners and is dedicated to every Filipino learner.

AGAPAY: WASH in Emergencies | Manila Water Foundation, in partnership with Manila Water Quezon City Service Area, provided hydration support for families in evacuation centers who were affected by a fire incident along NIA Road in Barangay Pinyahan, Quezon City.

This incident affected over 385 individuals who took shelter in evacuation centers. Katubig volunteers of the Manila Water Quezon City Service Area handed over 77 units of 5-gallon of potable drinking water. 💧💧💧

AGAPAY: WASH in Emergencies | Manila Water Foundation, in partnership with Manila Water Mandaluyong-Makati-Manila-San Juan Service Area provided hydration support for families in evacuation centers affected by a recent massive fire incident in Barangay Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City.

Through the support of Katubigs of the Manila Water Service Area, we reached out to more than 1,300 individuals through 200 units of 5-gallon potable water 💧💧💧 handed over at the Barangay Addition Hills Evacuation center. We thank our Katubig volunteers 💙 who were onsite to facilitate the handover.

Hindi natin napapansin ang halaga ng anumang bagay hanggat ito ay hindi nawawala.

Ngayong Earth Day, umpisahan natin sa tubig, isang bagay na ating ginagamit araw-araw ngunit hindi gaanong nabibigyang-halaga. Bawat patak, tumatatak sa mga daluyan ng tubig, watersheds, at sa ating lahat.

Ang pagiging ay ang paggamit ng tubig nang hindi labis, hindi nasasayang, at may respeto sa ating pinagkukunan. Sama-sama nating pahalagahan ang ating mundong tinitirhan, at umpisahan natin ito sa tubig na ating ginagamit.

Manila Water Foundation handed over more than 40 large hampers from Procter & Gamble Philippines for care centers in Taguig City. The hampers with premium food items will support the daily operations of Bahay Pag-Asa Taguig and the Taguig Lingap Center. Through dedicated social workers, the two centers provide care, protection, and rehabilitation services to vulnerable members of the community.

Taguig Lingap Center Head Charm Reyes-Bobier expressed her gratitude P&G and Manila Water Foundation for the generous donation. The premium food items will be prepared for children at risk, children in need of special protection, and women who are victims of domestic violence.

The hampers were also donated to Bahay Pag-asa which serves as a temporary residential care facility for Children in Conflict with the Law, offering guidance, counseling, and programs that aim to rebuild their lives and take steps for positive reintegration into their families and society.

The handover of hampers demonstrates the strong partnership between Manila Water Foundation and Procter & Gamble Philippines in serving shared stakeholders and caring for sectors in need. 💙💙💙
