Congratulations to the Top 7 conductors for advancing to the second round of the choral conducting competition! ✨

After a month's worth of preparing for rehearsals, studying pieces, making music with the chorus classes, and until the deliberation of the Conducting and Choral Ensemble Department, all of you have shown so much growth from the first time you stood in front of the podium. 𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻-- 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿. 💪🏻

Join us as we journey through the SEA of choral music and artistry! 🌊

𝗞𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗜𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗣𝗘: 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗘𝗔 is the chosen name for this year’s Kaleidoscope. Centering it around the main theme of the year, 𝗗𝗔𝗟𝗢𝗬: 𝗪𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 anchored in the sound and creativity of young Filipino conductors and musicians, which draws from last year’s theme on roots and origins, now branching outward towards new connections and horizons. ✨

This year's Choral Festival and Conducting Competition is to showcase the festive choral scene and repertoire of Southeast Asia, featuring works arranged by prolific Asian composers from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and, of course, the Philippines, highlighting the interconnectedness of cultures through the rich
depths of the SEA.

𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘂𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁! 🔱

Nakikiisa ang Philippine Choral Directors Association sa sigaw ng bayan. Itigil ang korapsyon! Tama na! Labis-labis na! Panagutin ang dapat panagutin! Kapit-bisig nating labanan ang matagal nang kawalanghiyaan. Naniniwala ang PCDA na dapat bigyang-lakas ang sektor ng kultura, sining, musika, literatura, at kasaysayan. Itaas ang sweldo at kilalanin na propesyon ang pagiging isang musiko. Bukod sa husay ng Korong Pilipino na kinikilala sa buong mundo, ipakita rin natin ang husay sa paglaban para sa tunay na pag-unlad ng bayan.

Bilang mga Korong Pilipino, tayo ay magkaisa para sa mahal nating Pilipinas!
