Last Tuesday, the PJAA family gathered for the Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Herb Schneider, SJ followed by a simple lunch to celebrate Alwin’s birthday. Those of you who frequently order Mass cards would know who he is. :)

The celebration continued the next day on Alwin's actual birthday as he generously treated everyone to a delicious pancit meal.

On a very wet Wednesday, bumped into Jesuit Scholastics Jerome Maambong, Adrian Pobre, and JP Socrates, who also heard Mass at the Ateneo College Chapel. During this rainy season, we are looking forward to the resumption of the noontime Masses at the Loyola School of Theology when 1st Semester classes start. Weather-proof. 😊

Today, we celebrate the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus, whose life continues to inspire us to seek God in all things and to serve others with generosity, discernment, and love.

As we honor St. Ignatius, may his example encourage us to live lives rooted in faith, guided by compassion, and dedicated to the service of others.

We also remember in our prayers all Jesuits, our partners in mission, our benefactors, and the communities we are privileged to serve.

Heavenly Father, You called St. Ignatius
into the company of your Son,
So that his love for Jesus
might inspire the hearts of many
to seek your greater glory.
You chose him out
to spread through the whole world
a greater dedication to your service,
and to provide your Church
with a society of apostles on fire with your love

Lord, teach me to be generous,

With grateful hearts, the Philippine Jesuit Aid Association (PJAA) joined the celebration of the Solemnity of the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola on July 26, 2026 at the Ateneo de Manila High School Covered Courts.

Inspired by this year's theme, "Companions of Jesus on a Hope-Filled Mission," the celebration gathered members of the different apostolates and ministries from across the Jesuit communities . It was a joyful reunion of friends, collaborators, and fellow companions in mission—a beautiful reminder that our shared faith and commitment to service unite us as one community.

As we prayed, celebrated, and gave thanks together, we were renewed by the hope that St. Ignatius continues to inspire in each of us: to walk with Christ, accompany one another with generosity and compassion, and serve wherever we are called.
