UWPI proudly announces that its former President, Dra. Erlinda Luna, has been honored with the prestigious Bayambang Matulanggaring Award for humanitarian service. Often regarded as the local counterpart to the Ramon Magsaysay Award, this distinction was conferred on April 5, 2026, at the Balon Bayambang Events Center.

This distinguished recognition celebrates Dra. Luna’s exemplary leadership and her enduring contributions to the community. Her lifelong dedication and selfless commitment perfectly embody the spirit of this high honor.

Her UWPI family takes immense pride in Dra. Luna’s achievement and extends its warmest congratulations on this well-deserved milestone. We also wish to express our sincere gratitude to Agnes Santos, past president of BAIPHIL, for her instrumental role in nominating Dra Luna for this distinction.

A prayer for MIER AKIO YUGO GOZANO, one of the beneficiaries of UWPI's Munting Panaginip medical assistance program, who passed away Dec. 3, 2025 at the age of ten. He suffered from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Goodbye and rest in peace.

God of love and life, you gave Yugo to us as our son.
Give us now the assurance that though he has passed from our sight, he has not passed from your care.
Draw near to us in our sadness,
bring blessing out of grief, and help us in our tears and pain to know you standing alongside us
and to experience your love and healing,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

In your hands, O Lord, we humbly entrust the soul of Joyce B. Sanipa, former beneficiary of UWPI's Munting Panaginip. In this life, you embraced her with your love while suffering from Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. Welcome her into paradise, where there is no sorrow, tears or pain, but fullness of peace and joy with your Son and the Holy Spirit, forever and ever, amen! Goodbye for now, Joyce, and rest in eternal peace!

Undying Wishes of Pinoys, Inc. (UWPI) mustered all like-minded advocates of human welfare to extend financial aid to the victims of Typhoons Tino and Uwan that devastated most parts of the country this month. This is accomplished mainly through the relief efforts of Angat Buhay Foundation, particularly in Cebu and Catanduanes, hot meal stations were created, relief goods were distributed, and medical and rescue assistance were provided to those severely affected by the the typhoons. UWPI pays heartfelt tribute to our dear social worker, Ghio Tolentino, who served our organization with deep compassion, commitment, and kindness. His genuine concern for our beneficiaries and his selfless service will always be remembered and cherished.

We extend our sincere sympathies and prayers for the eternal repose of his soul. May Ghio now rest peacefully in the loving embrace of our Lord.

Demonstrating its commitment to humanitarian efforts, UWPI responded to the recent calamities by contributing to the Philippine Red Cross’s relief operations for affected communities in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Our heartfelt gratitude to all those who share UWPI's advocacy to help people in need.

UWPI gave in-kind donations, August 29, 2025, to Concordia Children's Services, an institution that raises and cares for abandoned, neglected, surrendered, and orphaned children. The donation included milk, vitamins, and essential items for infants such as a bathtub, pillows, bassinet, cabinet and feeding bottles for their newly adopted babies.
The donation was received by Ms. Kim Velasco, Development Program Staff of CCS.

UWPI is grateful to all officers and members for their generosity.

To support the goals of Operation Smile Philippines (OSP), UWPI donated cash to this non-profit organization to help them address their needs. With our financial support, OSP then purchased items (please see photos) which they deem will greatly help them in their mission to serve more patients in need. OSP has been conducting medical programs in the country since 1982 to address the surgical needs in repairing children's cleft lips and cleft palates. Again, UWPI is grateful to its members and donors for their generosity.
