The BAIPHIL Annual Medical, Dental, and Surgical Mission held on June 26, 2026 was a resounding success, made possible through the generous support of their partners—SM Foundation, Inc. (SMFI), Undying Wishes of Pinoys, Inc. (UWPI), Unilab, and many other and volunteers.

A total of 735 patients registered, resulting in 1,116 healthcare services delivered, including medical consultations, dental and optical care, laboratory tests, X-rays, ECGs, ultrasounds, circumcisions, and 130 PhilHealth YAKAP beneficiaries served.

Based on government rates, the total value of services provided reached ₱594,760, excluding the value of the free medicines and vitamins generously donated by SM Foundation, Unilab (through UWPI), and BAIPHIL.

The mission was carried out by a dedicated team of approximately 15 volunteer physicians, including one from Sydney, Australia, and 11 volunteer dentists, whose commitment made this humanitarian effort possible.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to UWPI President Dra. Erlinda Luna and Vice President Rina Silvino Navarro for representing UWPI, and to Agnes Santos, former BAIPHIL President, for inviting us to be part of this meaningful endeavor. We likewise extend our deepest gratitude to all our members, partners, sponsors, and volunteers whose unwavering support helped make this mission a remarkable success.

With kindness comes good karma…

UWPI proudly announces that its former President, Dra. Erlinda Luna, has been honored with the prestigious Bayambang Matulanggaring Award for humanitarian service. Often regarded as the local counterpart to the Ramon Magsaysay Award, this distinction was conferred on April 5, 2026, at the Balon Bayambang Events Center.

This distinguished recognition celebrates Dra. Luna’s exemplary leadership and her enduring contributions to the community. Her lifelong dedication and selfless commitment perfectly embody the spirit of this high honor.

Her UWPI family takes immense pride in Dra. Luna’s achievement and extends its warmest congratulations on this well-deserved milestone. We also wish to express our sincere gratitude to Agnes Santos, past president of BAIPHIL, for her instrumental role in nominating Dra Luna for this distinction.

A prayer for MIER AKIO YUGO GOZANO, one of the beneficiaries of UWPI's Munting Panaginip medical assistance program, who passed away Dec. 3, 2025 at the age of ten. He suffered from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Goodbye and rest in peace.

God of love and life, you gave Yugo to us as our son.
Give us now the assurance that though he has passed from our sight, he has not passed from your care.
Draw near to us in our sadness,
bring blessing out of grief, and help us in our tears and pain to know you standing alongside us
and to experience your love and healing,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
