Call for Submissions: 2026 IBBY Honour List

IBBY Philippines invites publishers to submit nominations for the 2026 IBBY Honour List, a biennial selection of outstanding childrenโ€™s books worldwide that highlights excellence in writing, illustration, and translation.

Eligibility:

* Books must have been first published from January 2022 onward.๏ฟฝ
* Only one title may be nominated per category (Writing, Illustration, Translation).๏ฟฝ
* Books must be formally published with ISBN and in an official Philippine language.๏ฟฝ
The Honour List will be showcased at the IBBY World Congress 2026 and featured in an international catalogue and travelling exhibitions.

Please email the nomination form to [email protected] and submit the book/s (print) by October 1, 2025.

Everyone is invited to the Philippine International Comics Festival (PICOF) 2025 on July 5-6, 2025 from 10AM-8PM at the Megatrade Hall, SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.

This exciting event will gather over 200 comic creators from the Philippines and across the globe, at the Comics Market. This year, comics and art fans can also attend 3 exhibits: The PICOF Official Selection Exhibit, the Mars Ravelo Exhibit, and the Palestinian Comics Exhibit. Visitors can also experience 14 Masterclasses taught by professionals, from local komikeros to international guests!

Join us on July 6, 2025, as Vibal Foundation debuts seven exciting new comic book titles under its two brand-new imprints during the PICOF Main Stage Launch, happening from 11:00 AM to 12:15 pm.

Grafika imprint is proud to debut ๐˜•๐˜ข๐˜จ๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ช๐˜ต ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜ˆ๐˜ด๐˜ธ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜ด๐˜ข ๐˜”๐˜ข๐˜ฉ๐˜ข๐˜ญ ๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜‰๐˜ข๐˜ธ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜จ, a graphic novel written by Randy Valiente and illustrated by Aurelio Castro III, alongside three classic works by National Artist for Visual Arts Francisco V. Cochingโ€”๐˜Š๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ข๐˜ฅ๐˜ฐ, ๐˜š๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ถ๐˜ณ, and ๐˜‹๐˜ถ๐˜ฎ๐˜ข๐˜จ๐˜ช๐˜ต.

Meanwhile, another new imprint Agimat Comics will showcase the following titles from Southeast Asia: ๐˜“๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜‹๐˜ช๐˜ด๐˜ต๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ค๐˜ฆ ๐˜Š๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ญ by Fil-German illustrator Sheree Domingo, ๐˜๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ฆ๐˜ฅ ๐˜™๐˜ช๐˜ค๐˜ฆ by Malaysian animator Erica Eng, and ๐˜Š๐˜ฐ๐˜ค๐˜ฌ๐˜ฎ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ by Singaporean graphic novelist and illustrator Kenfoo.
