PHILFECO BIDS FAREWELL TO ENGR. NARCISO S. SALUNAT (1953 - 2025)
The PHILFECO Management Staff, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Ponciano D. Payuyo, turned out to bid their last farewell at the wake and funeral of Engr. Narciso S. Salunat of Nueva Vizcaya.
A long-time former General Manager of the Nueva Vizcaya Electric Cooperative (NUVELCO) and regarded as one of the pioneers and stalwarts of the national cooperative electrification movement, Engr. Salunat is also acknowledged as instrumental in the eventual formation of the Philippine Federation of Electric Cooperatives (PHILFECO), having served as Board Chairman during its early years of inception.
Also paying their last respects to Engr. Salunat were members of the PHILFECO core management staff. Their visit was so graciously hosted by current NUVELCO GM Fredel L. Salvador and was made more convenient and comfortable by the kind hospitality and warm accommodations shown by the entire NUVELCO family.
As PHILFECO condoles with the family and friends of Engr. Salunat, it also takes this opportunity to extend its deep gratitude and appreciation to all officials and employees of NUVELCO for their boundless generosity.
