Anchored on the theme, "Pagpupugay at Pagkilala sa mga Natatanging Kaagapay sa Pagtataguyod ng Matatag na Ugnayang PNP at Pamayanan,"Gawad Kaagapay ng PCADG 2026 under the helm of PBGEN VINA H. GUZMAN, DIRECTOR, paid tribute to the remarkable individuals and institutions whose enduring contributions continue to strengthen the bond between the Philippine National Police and the communities it proudly serves. More than a celebration of achievement, the occasion reaffirmed that meaningful progress is realized through unity, shared responsibility, and a common pursuit of safer, stronger, and more resilient communities.

Setting an inspiring tone for the occasion, Philippine Information Agency Director General Ms. Katherine Chloe S. Castro, Guest of Honor and Speaker, emphasized that genuine leadership is rooted in integrity, accountability, and meaningful dialogue. She called on every public servant to become a source of credibility and inspiration, reminding everyone that public confidence is cultivated through consistent action, responsible communication, and an unwavering dedication to the common good.

The Philippine National Police formally marked the culmination of the 31st Police Community Relations Month at the PNP Multi Purpose Center, Camp BGen Rafael T. Crame, Quezon City, bringing together police leaders, personnel, partner agencies, and stakeholders in celebration of the enduring partnership between the police organization and the Filipino people.

The occasion was graced by PMGEN RODERICK AUGUSTUS B ALBA, TDPCR, who delivered the welcome remarks, followed by an audio visual presentation highlighting the milestones and meaningful initiatives realized throughout the month long observance.

Representing PGEN JOSE MELENCIO C NARTATEZ, JR, C, PNP, PMGEN WILSON JOSEPH F. LOPEZ, TDCO delivered the Chief PNP's message, affirming that the enduring strength of the organization is measured not only by operational accomplishments but by the confidence it continues to earn from the public. A Commitment Beyond the Badge

The strength of the Philippine National Police is not defined solely by its presence on the frontlines, but by its unwavering dedication to the welfare of every police officer and the families who inspire them to serve.

In observance of the 31st Police Community Relations Month, the Philippine National Police convened the One Stop Shop of Frontline Services for PNP Personnel and their Dependents at the Bulwagang Lapu lapu ,Camp BGen Rafael T. Crame, Quezon City. The initiative brought together government agencies, partner organizations, and the PNP Officers Ladies Club Foundation, Inc. (PNP OLCFI) to make essential programs and services more accessible to PNP personnel and their families.

The program commenced with an invocation by PCOL JULIUS B CRUZ, AD, CHS, followed by the welcome remarks of PMGEN RODERICK AUGUSTUS B ALBA, TDPCR. PBGEN VINA H GUZMAN, D, PCADG acknowledged the participating frontline service providers, while representative from PSMBFI headed by President and CEO PLTGEN BENJAMIN D SANTOS, JR (RET.) formally turned over the SGTI Experience Refund Cheque worth ₱ 10.7 Million for PNP Scholarship fund. PGEN JOSE MELENCIO C NARTATEZ JR, C, PNP, ably represented by PLTGEN BERNARD M BANAC, TDCA with Mrs. Mary Rose O. Nartatez likewise conferred Certificates of Recognition upon partner agencies and organizations for their continued support of programs benefiting PNP personnel and their families.

A defining feature of the initiative was the provision of 1,000 influenza vaccines, wherein 772 doses administered,spearheaded by the PNP OLCFI under the leadership of its National Adviser, Mrs. Mary Rose O. Nartatez, in partnership with Mrs. Myrna J. Reyes, President and Chairwoman of Donate Philippines and Atty. Lucas Managuelod , F. I. C. D, Chairman and CEO of PSSLAI. The vaccination drive reinforced preventive healthcare, strengthening the health and operational readiness of PNP personnel while helping safeguard the well being of their families. Complementing this effort was the distribution of 1,000 bags of five kilogram rice, and 500 packed meals from Mrs. Myrna J. Reyes providing timely assistance to PNP households.

In his message, PLTGEN BERNARD BANAC emphasized that the strength of the Philippine National Police begins with the welfare of its people. He underscored that investing in the health and well being of every police officer strengthens the organization's ability to serve the nation with professionalism, integrity, and excellence. He likewise recognized the invaluable contributions of the PNP OLCFI, Donate Philippines, PSSLAI, and all partner agencies whose shared commitment continues to create a lasting impact on the lives of PNP personnel and their families.

PNP CHIEF NARTATEZ POSTS 85.4% GOVERNANCE RATING IN LATEST NATIONWIDE SURVEY

Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., expressed gratitude to the Filipino people after leading the fourth tier among heads of key government agencies in the latest nationwide "Boses ng Bayan" survey conducted by RPMD Foundation Inc.

Conducted from July 12 to 19, 2026, the survey ranked PGen Nartatez at the top of the fourth tier with an Index of Governance (IOG) of 85.4%, consisting of 85.3% trust and 85.6% job performance ratings. The survey gathered the views of 10,000 respondents nationwide.

The recognition comes as PGen Nartatez enters the 11th month of his leadership of the Philippine National Police, with his first anniversary as Chief PNP set on August 26, 2026. During this period, the PNP has continued to strengthen its anti-criminality campaign, enhance police operations, uphold internal discipline and accountability, and expand community partnerships in support of safer communities nationwide.

PGen Nartatez said the recognition inspires every police officer to remain committed to honest, responsive, and professional public service.

"Nagpapasalamat tayo sa tiwalang ipinagkaloob ng ating mga kababayan. Ang pagkilalang ito ay hindi lamang para sa Chief PNP kundi para sa buong organisasyon na araw-araw na nagsisikap na gampanan ang tungkulin nang may integridad at malasakit. Mas lalo pa namin itong pagbubutihin dahil alam naming ang tiwala ng publiko ay pinaghihirapan at patuloy na pinananatili sa pamamagitan ng tunay na serbisyo," PGen Nartatez said.

He stressed that while the recognition is encouraging, the PNP remains focused on delivering concrete results through effective law enforcement, stronger community partnerships, and responsive police service.

Day One celebrated the country's rich heritage through a thoughtfully curated cultural tour. Beginning at the historic Fort Santiago, the delegation explored the timeless beauty of Intramuros aboard a charming Tranvia Ride, enjoyed a delightful luncheon at Barbara's Heritage Restaurant, admired the elegance of Casa Manila Museum, and concluded the day with visits to the Rizal Monument and the National Museum, each destination reflecting the rich history, artistry, and identity of the Filipino people.

Day Two brought the delegation to the Philippine National Police National Headquarters, where they were warmly welcomed by the PNP Band and graciously assisted by the PCADG usherettes before touring the PNP Museum, offering a meaningful glimpse into the organization's proud legacy and its enduring commitment to regional cooperation.

A defining moment of the journey followed at the PNP Child Development Center in Bulwagang Lapu Lapu, where the PNP OLCFI hosted a heartfelt program featuring an invocation, the Foundation's welcome remarks, delightful performances by the students, and a meaningful message from Mrs. Mary Rose O. Nartatez, National Adviser, PNP OLCFI. The program concluded with a ceremonial gift giving activity, where school bags and educational supplies were distributed, reflecting a shared commitment to uplifting and inspiring the next generation.

The delegation later shared a fellowship luncheon highlighted by performances from talented PNP artists before visiting Tesoro's Makati, where Filipino craftsmanship, traditional embroidery, and local artistry beautifully showcased the country's rich cultural heritage.
