September Student Spotlight ⭐️
Richard is a 3rd year Business Administration major in Marketing student and one of four siblings in a family that runs a small karinderya. While pursuing his studies, he also helps his family with their business and continues to serve at He Cares.
His journey through college has not always been easy. After graduating Senior High School with honors, Richard worked for over a year at a fast-food chain to save for college. When his family could no longer manage the expenses, he had to stop studying for a year. When he returned to college, he worked as a sales associate at a printing shop while studying.
Despite these setbacks, Richard continues to pursue his dream of becoming a Brand Manager, with hopes of one day becoming a composer as well. His parents, along with the people who have supported and served alongside him in He Cares, continue to inspire him to keep going.
Through the sponsorship program, Richard has been given the opportunity to continue his education and move closer to the dreams he once had to put on hold. He is grateful for the people who choose to believe in young people, support their journey, and give them hope for what lies ahead.
