TUGON Ateneo

TUGON Ateneo In TUGON, we believe that there is no excuse for child sexual abuse and abandonment. Each of us has a childhood we look fondly back to.

However, we know of young people who have already been robbed of the kind of childhood that each person deserves. A community of those who seek the fun-loving child within themselves, TUGON aims to share time, love and warmth with the babies and the girls of CRIBS Receiving Homes & CRIBS New Beginnings, Meritxell Babies & Girls, Concordia, ECPAT, Tahanan Sta. Lusia, and Laura Vicuna, who are survi

vors of abandonment and sexual abuse. Despite the adversities that tainted their early years of life, we help them remember that they are indeed children, so that in the future, they may be able to have childhood memories worth reminiscing. Through the areas in TUGON, we are given the ability to prevent adversities from tainting the early years of children, keeping memories happy and still worth reminiscing. With only the inner child, we transform and are transformed. As long as TUGON’s advocacy and mission lives in its members, these kids will move on with their lives knowing the real feeling of home. We teach, we sing, we dance, we play…
We love to make kids happy!

[CALL FOR DONATIONS]

Drew, a 3rd year Financial Aid Scholar of BS Psychology and a dedicated Gawad Kalinga Ateneo Volunteer, sustained a severe arm injury and was rushed to The Medical City Emergency Room on April 11.

While he is currently stabilized, he is in need of surgery as soon as possible and is taking consistent medication to prevent further complications. The surgery is of highest priority as the longer without it, the higher the likelihood the blood vessel in the arm cannot fully recover and permanently cut off circulation from the rest of his arm.

Drew is now in need of assistance, especially as this takes a major hit on their finances and Drew’s ability to attend and perform in his classes and other responsibilities.

We are kindly knocking on your hearts to ask for any amount to help fund Drew’s surgery. Your kindness is greatly appreciated! Kindly scan the QR Code to donate to Drew's Mom's GCash, or message our page for additional help.

Thank you!

Advocacies rooted in hope and care deserve to be shared. 🌷💜

TUGON reaffirms their commitment to protect and empower children and all people through holding their “Bantay Bata, Buong Bansa” — the self-defense initiative under NCSAAM 2026, last Wednesday, March 25 at Ateneo de Manila University’s Faura AVR. 🥋

This event successfully helped participants gain more knowledge about awareness and personal safety. 💪

While the event is over, may this be a step for us to stand for one another, and create a more secure environment for all. 🫂

“because all her life, she lived to feed.” 🍳

In “Omelettes,” Mikael Aller traces the quiet, enduring labor of the women who made life possible, particularly his mother and grandmother. While the poem centers on her grandmother, it carries the weight of a lineage shaped by care that often goes unnamed: feeding, tending, holding a life together so another may move forward.

The piece lingers in the small, intimate textures of memory: the smell of sun-dried laundry, the sound of familiar music, the taste of a dish that never quite becomes the same in one’s own hands. Through this, Mikael reflects not only on distance, but on the subtle, aching gap between generations: what is inherited, what is lost, and what can never be fully returned.

At its core, “Omelettes” becomes both a remembering and an offering; a way of honoring the lives that came before, and the quiet sacrifices that continue to shape the present.

In observance of National Child Sexual Abuse Awareness Month (NCSAAM), we invite you to join us at the TUGON Flea Market — a community gathering where advocacy, shopping, and meaningful conversations come together.

Visit our booths from April 7-10 at Zen Garden, connect with fellow advocates, and be part of a movement that champions the health, safety, and well-being of every child. 🫂

This event is held in support of Project LAAN's Public Health Days, and every moment of participation is a step toward a safer community for our children. 🔮

Together, let us engage, shop, and advocate because child protection is everyone's responsibility. 💜🌸

“She's just a player who lost a level she never got to finish.
And she's still waiting to be loved like the game is over.”

DISCLAIMER: The following story contains references to child sexual abuse, trauma, and psychological distress.

This National Children’s Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we confront the quiet, often invisible ways violence embeds itself into memory, body, and growth. Not all harm ends in the moment it happens; some of it lingers, rewrites, and follows survivors long after, shaping how they move through the world. 💌

Read “The Quicksave Corruption” by Player 10, a powerful narrative that explores survival, memory, and the lasting impact of abuse through the language of a game that was never meant to be played this way.
