Quezon City Lodge No.10 - IOOF The Independent Order of Odd Fellows is one of the oldest and largest fraternities in the world. We are non-political and non-sectarian.

Nearly 300 years ago in England, people were facing a lot of challenges. Life was tough, often lawless and desperate. Medicine was still crude and in a primitive stage. Life expectancy was about 45 to 50. There were lots of sickness, orphaned kids, widowed mothers and many people cannot afford to pay a descent burial for the dead. So, ordinary people from different trades and walks of life found i

t necessary to group together as brothers and contribute some of their hard-earned wages to a common fund which they could use for unfortunate times such as sickness, losing a job and even death. They would work together to help each other and the unfortunate families back on their feet, whether it was rebuilding a barn that had burned or putting in a new crop after a devastating season. Such altruistic and friendly society came to be known as “Odd Fellows” probably because they consisted of people from different Odd trades and at that time, it was odd to find people organized for the purpose of giving aid to those in need and of pursuing projects for the benefit of all mankind. Odd Fellows are also known as “The Three Link Fraternity” which stands for Friendship, Love and Truth.

Metro Manila North District Lodge Meeting

Representatives from San Juan City Lodge No. 22, Jose Rizal Odd Fellows Lodge No. 18, Albert Pike Lodge No. 33, Kagitingan Odd Fellows Lodge No. 12, and Fortis Odd Fellows Lodge No. 54 gathered for the Metro Manila North District Lodge Meeting to strengthen fellowship and discuss upcoming collaborative activities.

One of the primary discussions focused on the upcoming joint project of Kagitingan Lodge and Fortis Lodge scheduled for May 31, with fellow lodges in the district warmly invited to participate and support the activity. The district also discussed the importance of filling vacant district officer positions to ensure equal representation and active participation from every lodge.

Future fellowship initiatives were likewise explored, including a proposed joint bowling event or funshoot tentatively planned for the first week of July — further promoting unity, camaraderie, and the enduring bonds of brotherhood among the lodges.

The International Journal of Research on Multidisciplinary Studies (IJROMS) proudly announces the appointment of Febwin E. Villaceran, DTech, PhD as Peer Reviewer of the journal. He will serve in the fields of Social Sciences, Business, and Engineering.

Dr. Villaceran is currently affiliated with Philippine Christian University, where he serves as University Dean of the College of Business Administration and Accountancy. He brings more than two decades of experience in teaching, academic leadership, school administration, and institutional management in both private and public educational institutions.

Throughout his distinguished career, he has held key leadership positions including Academic Head, Program Head, College Dean, School Director, and research consultant for various local and international organizations. He also contributed as a member of the Technical Working Group in the development of the K–12 program implementation in the Philippines.

Dr. Villaceran has actively presented research in the areas of business, education, and engineering through international conferences, research grants, and academic collaborations. His professional expertise also extends to corporate leadership, having served in executive positions in sales, marketing, and operations management, where he integrated research and development initiatives into organizational systems and practices.

Beyond academia and industry, he is also an active member of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary, holding the rank of Rear Admiral and serving in leadership roles in education, training, and operations. His outstanding contributions in education and leadership earned him several recognitions including the Distinctive Leadership in Education Asia Award, Global Ambassador recognition, Best Director in Educational Research, and Vietnam International Academic Excellence Award.

As a Peer Reviewer of IJROMS, he plays a vital role in ensuring research quality, academic rigor, and integrity in scholarly publication, supporting the journal’s mission of Bridging Disciplines, Advancing Knowledge.
