Last night, in a solemn lodge hall in the presence of numerous Odd Fellows from other lodges and guests, we honored Brother Werner Leidig for 25 years and Manfred Bauditz for 50 years in the lodge.

Manfred Bauditz delivered the eulogy for Brother Werner and honored him for his years of dedication to the lodge and the Kurpfalz-Lager. GM Jens Warmers also honored AM Manfred for his tireless commitment to the well-being of the Goethe Lodge for his peace, his moderation, and his perseverance. He also personally thanked him for his many good and fatherly advice over the past 25 years.

In the following, there was a delicious Odd Fellow meal, which GM Jens Warmers had cooked for all 22 participants.

Interview of Prospective Members / Knockers

Quezon City Lodge No. 10 successfully conducted an interview and orientation for prospective members and potential Knockers of the Lodge.

During the gathering, the prospective members were given a brief background on the history and founding of Quezon City Lodge No. 10, as well as an overview of the early history and development of Odd Fellowship in the Philippines. The discussion provided them with a better understanding of our Lodge’s roots, our connection to the Order, and the ancient commands we continue to uphold.

We also took the opportunity to set clear expectations regarding the Degree work and oral proficiency requirements of the Order. Prospective members were reminded that the memorization required in Odd Fellowship is not merely an exercise to pass an oral recitation. The lessons and teachings are meant to be learned by heart, understood, and carried into one’s life as an Odd Fellow. As brother Noble Grand Eleazer Monteser said;

“We do not memorize merely to recite; we learn by heart so that the principles may become part of who we are.”

At Quezon City Lodge No. 10, we believe that becoming an Odd Fellow is more than simply gaining membership. It is a commitment to Friendship, Love, and Truth, to personal growth, to fellowship with our Brothers and Sisters, and ultimately, to service to others.

This artwork was created for Quezon City Lodge No. 10 – Independent Order of Odd Fellows as a visual interpretation of the values and spirit that we strive to uphold as Odd Fellows.

At the heart of the design is the Golden Hand bearing a Red Heart, symbolizing a hand always ready to extend help, compassion, and service, guided by a heart that genuinely cares for others. It reminds us that our commitment to humanity must not remain in words, but must be expressed through action.

Above it shines the All-Seeing Eye surrounded by rays of light, representing truth, wisdom, guidance, and the constant pursuit of what is right. It reminds every member that our actions are seen, our obligations are sacred, and our journey should always be guided by moral principles.

The three words—FRIENDSHIP, LOVE, and TRUTH—stand as the foundation of Odd Fellowship.
Friendship teaches us to value the bonds we form with our Brothers and Sisters and to stand together in times of need.
