๐ŸŒ๐Ÿƒ Today, we celebrate World Environment Day 2026.

The environment is not only our shared homeโ€”it is the foundation of our future. As we face growing environmental challenges, collective action remains essential in protecting our natural resources and promoting sustainable development.

On this World Environment Day, let us renew our commitment to caring for our planet through meaningful actions, responsible stewardship, and stronger partnerships for nature and communities.

Together, we can create a greener, more resilient future for generations to come.

A Mother Who Grows: Reimagining Resilience through Food Security in Busuanga, Northern Palawan

"There is an instinct in many to provide, almost without thought. As the child forms, she sustains; in birth, she nourishes. As she gets older, provision transforms. We feel it in words, in warmth, in the sense of home. Days do not start or end for mothers like atรฉ Rosalie Gabinรฉte. It is a role that just goes on for a homemaker and a mother of six from Barangay San Rafael in the municipality of Busuanga in the Calamian Group of Islands, Northern Palawan. Growth for atรฉ Rosalie is understood in its most literal sense. Planting came naturally to her: vegetables, cassava, bananas, and whatever else she could grow."

A mother grows in ways we do not see. There is an instinct in many to provide, almost without thought. As the child forms, she sustains; in birth, she nourishes. As she gets older, provision transforms. We feel it in words, in warmth, in the sense of home. Days do not start or end for mothers like at...

This initiative promotes sustainable farming, food security, and home gardening by encouraging families to grow their own food.

A story of the grantees about resiliency.

A story of the grantees about resiliency.

When the winds gust strong, forests begin to thin and waters gently rise. Communities are the first to feel the effects and the loss. The first signs of environmental decline are not immediately seen in data or figures, but felt in the uncertainty of food, the fragility of livelihood and income, and...

The SGP-7 Joint NSC-PTRC Oversight Visit continues.

Today we are sharing meaningful conversations and valuable learning exchanges with our partner, Tanggol Kalikasan Inc. (TK), the Landscape-level NGO Hub in Aurora Province.

As the monitoring visit continues, we look forward to documenting more stories, lessons learned, and emerging best practices from the field.

Stay tuned!
