The Salvatorian Pastoral Care for Children (SPCC) conducted an agency visit to House of Refuge Foundation, Inc. to learn more about its functions, programs, and services, as well as the best practices in caring for abandoned, neglected, and surrendered children.

Ms. Zyrelle, Program Manager, provided a comprehensive orientation discussing the foundation’s programs, services, and child care approaches, highlighting its commitment to holistic child development and protection. Meanwhile, Ms. Rachielle, Residential Social Worker, guided the SPCC team through a facility tour, allowing them to gain deeper insight into the daily operations, residential care setup, and the supportive environment provided for the children.

The visit served as a meaningful opportunity for professional exchange, fostering stronger collaboration and shared learning in child welfare practices. It also emphasized the importance of compassionate care, teamwork, and trauma-informed interventions in nurturing the well-being of abandoned, neglected, and surrendered children.

Ms. Cristina and Mr. Gerardo from Spain marked her third visit to the foundation with a heartfelt farewell celebration alongside the children. As she prepares to return home, she treated the kids to a fun-filled day at Timezone and shared a warm, memorable lunch bonding at the foundation.

Though it was a goodbye for now, the laughter, joy, and moments they shared will always remain in the hearts of the children. Thank you, Ms. Cristina, for your love and generosity you will always be part of the HORFI family. 💛
