Happy ! Did you know that radio is a powerful tool for promoting peace and understanding across cultures and communities? It allows for the free and open exchange of ideas, opinions and information, creating an inclusive and diverse platform for dialogue and debate. Whether through music, news broadcasts or talk shows, radio has the ability to bring people together, break down barriers and foster a sense of community and unity. In times of conflict, radio can also play a critical role in providing accurate information and promoting peaceful resolution. The importance of radio for peace cannot be overstated, and it continues to be a crucial means of promoting understanding and building bridges between people. There are 8 billion ways of ‘being human’ but only one path to peace. And it is through tolerance and understanding.
Let’s end this year by celebrating the diversity that makes us strong & the values that bring us together!

The Rotary Club of University District Quezon City is closing the year with a bang! Shared the Christmas spirit with 120 kids in its adopted Barangay San Vicente . We prayed, sang the National Anthem together before the kids take their food, gifts and toys. The moms of toddlers came and everyone came in Christmas clothes with adornment.

The club goes all out in greeting the year with positivity and humanity.

Cheers to all Rotarians !

RCUD Promoting Active Reading

The Rotary Club of Diliman (RCUD) Quezon City District recently partnered with the Lucrecia Kasilag High School (LKHS) to distribute various paperback books to its students last August 18, 2022 at their campus in Project 7 Quezon City. Present were members of the Club headed by its current president Ariel John Galicto, past president Josefina Coloma, Rotarians Jon IBanes, Juvy Miranda Sotsub and CK Buenviaje. THE RCUD team was welcomed by LKHS principal Mr. Edgardo D. Crus and School Teachers.

Different types and genres of books were part of the generous donation of ABS CBN Publishing to RCUD for its Book Club Project. Special thanks to Ms. Kristine Hernandez, Head of Retail Operations at ABS-CBN Publishing.

Fiction and non-fiction books including self-help, inspirational, adventures, fun-reads, short story books and graphic novels were distributed. Water and masks were also given away to students, admin and faculty members of LKHS, and student volunteers.

The RCUD Book Club project aims to support literacy programs by helping promote active reading amongst students outside the classroom. RCUD is making book reading more fun by providing access to diverse reading materials students will enjoy.

The club hopes to continue this project yearly and welcome support from different publishing companies and learning institutions.
