On July 17, 2026, members of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) PNP Sub-Chapter extended technical assistance to the Parent-Teacher Association (SGPTA) of Grade V-Aquino at Camp Crame Elementary School, through the conduct of inspection and preparation of estimates for the proposed conversion of the traditional blackboards into modern sliding whiteboards—creating an enhanced, interactive learning environment for young learners.

Through hands-on community service, the PICE PNP Sub-Chapter reinforces the power of civil engineering as a pillar of nation-building and educational support.

The Regular Board Meeting of the PICE PNP Sub-Chapter was held on June 5, 2026, at Four Seasons Restaurant, Araneta City, Cubao, Quezon City headed by Engr. Maribel D Martirez, PICE QC PNP Sub Chapter President. The meeting was attended by the officers and board members of the chapter to discuss organizational matters, review past activities, and plan upcoming programs and initiatives.

The meeting concluded with a commitment from all officers and board members to continue strengthening the PICE PNP Sub-Chapter through active participation, effective programs, and sustained membership growth. The board reaffirmed its dedication to advancing the professional development and welfare of Civil Engineers within the chapter.

The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers Quezon City–PNP PICE Sub-Chapter participated in the Engineering Forum during the 2026 PICE Midyear National Convention and Technical Conference held on May 22, 2026 (Friday) at the SMX Convention Center Manila, Mall of Asia Complex, Seashell Lane, Pasay City, with the theme: “PICE Towards a Sustainable Future: Strengthened by Members, Defined by Specialization.”

The Acting Director of the Philippine National Police Engineering Service, PCOL Laudemer N. Llaneta, together with PCOL Joseph Adelbert A. Aliño, Acting Chief of Staff, Engineering Service, joined and supported the event. They also conducted market scoping activities during the Engineering Expo held as part of the 2026 PICE Midyear National Convention and Technical Conference.

The exhibit featured innovative construction materials, modern equipment, advanced design and engineering solutions, as well as various contractors and suppliers from the design and construction industry. It showcased the latest trends, technological advancements, and cutting-edge innovations in engineering and infrastructure development.

The active participation of the Philippine National Police Engineering Service reflects its steadfast commitment to strengthening the PNP Infrastructure Development Program through continuous innovation, quality service, and professional excellence.

The PNP Engineering Service (PNP-ES), in collaboration with the PICE PNP Sub-Chapter, successfully concluded a five-day seminar-workshop on international quality standards held from April 15 to 21, 2026. The program featured Dr. Joenhel T. Villagarcia, PICE PNP Secretary, as a guest lecturer.

The intensive training covered ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System Requirements), ISO 19011:2018 (Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems), and Root Cause Analysis/Corrective Action.

Through this initiative, our Quality Management Team, Internal Quality Audit Team, Records Officers, and Process Owners were equipped with globally recognized tools, enhancing their competencies in auditing and documentation. This effort reinforces our commitment to maintaining compliance with international standards while empowering our personnel to effectively identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions.

The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) – PNP Sub Chapter, in collaboration with the PICE National, PICE QC and Philippine National Police, successfully conducted an outreach program at the Female Dormitory of Quezon City Jail.

The activity aimed to extend support, compassion, and encouragement to the persons deprived of liberty through the distribution of essential items and meaningful interaction. More than just providing material assistance, the initiative fostered a sense of hope, dignity, and community among the beneficiaries.
