Building stronger partnerships for gender-responsive development.

SPARK! Philippines recently met with the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) to discuss collaborations aimed at strengthening the agency’s Gender and Development (GAD) programming through women’s economic empowerment, girls’ rights and education, and other impactful initiatives for the benefit of its stakeholders.

SPARK! Philippines was truly honored to attend the 5th Embassy Night. Organized by the Philippine Business and News under the leadership of Mr. Monsi Serrano, the event brought together over 30 ambassadors and diplomats, along with distinguished executives from foreign chambers and multinational companies.

Embassy Night served as a dynamic platform to further strengthen ties between the Philippines and the international community through business, culture, and diplomatic engagement.

We extend our sincere gratitude and deepest appreciation to the PhilBiz Team for the invitation. We also congratulate them on the successful staging of the 5th Embassy Night, as well as the launch of *Lessons from the Pandemic*—a comprehensive and insightful account of the Philippines’ challenges and learnings during the pandemic period.

Strengthening connections, inspiring possibilities 🇵🇭🤝🇧🇪

SPARK! Philippines was honored to support the visit of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in Manila to Quezon City University, in celebration of 80 years of Belgium–Philippines diplomatic relations.

A highlight of the visit was the inauguration of the Belgian Corner at the QCU Library—a meaningful space that reflects shared values, cultural exchange, and a commitment to learning. The program also featured an insightful lecture by Ambassador Vladislava Iordanova and a presentation on academic pathways in Belgium, opening new opportunities for Filipino students.

The delegation also visited the QCU Center for Urban Agriculture and Innovation (CUAI), where they were introduced to the university’s agricultural initiatives and sustainability-driven programs—showcasing how innovation and education can work hand in hand to address real-world challenges.

More than a celebration, this moment underscores the power of collaboration—bringing together institutions, communities, and young leaders to build bridges that go beyond borders.

SPARK! Philippines had the privilege of attending the celebration of Koningsdag or King’s Day, hosted by Her Excellency Marielle Geraedts, Ambassador of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Philippines, which was held at the Dutch residence.

The Embassy of the Netherlands in the Philippines has always been a strong and constant supporter for the protection and promotion of women and LGBTIQ+ rights through our partnerships for the first Mindanao Pride, the Workshop for Aspiring Women Entrepreneurs, and many other programs.

We look forward to strengthening this partnership in the future through more programs and projects which will concretely uplift the lives of Filipino women and the LGBTIQ+ community.
