For over a decade, L'Oréal Citizen Day has been more than a tradition. It has been a celebration of purpose, community, and the power of giving back. Since 2010, L'Oréal Philippines employees have dedicated their time to creating meaningful impact in communities. With this year's theme, "Beauty That Transforms: Nurturing Creativity, Celebrating Confidence," the initiative continues to inspire creativity, build confidence, and empower individuals through acts of service that create lasting positive change.

This year's outreach program, held in Brgy. Holy Spirit, Quezon City, brought together L'Oréal Philippines employees in partnership with SPARK! Philippines, with the support of the Local Government of Quezon City, through the Quezon City Social Services Development Department (SSDD) and the Barangay Holy Spirit. Fifty-four (54) kindergarten students expressed their creativity through engaging arts and crafts activities, while 40 mothers received fresh haircut makeovers from Beauty for a Better Life graduates, helping them rediscover their confidence and celebrate their unique beauty.

The event was made even more meaningful through inspiring messages from Yassine Bakkari, Managing Director of L'Oréal Philippines; Mayor Joy Belmonte; Councilor Julienne Alyson Rae Medalla; and Maica Teves, Executive Director of SPARK! Philippines, who each highlighted the power of collaboration in creating positive and lasting change in the community.

Every smile, every conversation, and every act of service reminds us that beauty goes beyond appearance. It uplifts lives, empowers communities, and creates lasting change.

The Sine Niña Girls' Rights Workshop Through Film and Music was successfully held in Tagbilaran City, bringing together young people for a meaningful day of learning, creativity, and dialogue through the power of film and music. 🎬

Anchored on the Sine Niña docufilm—funded by the Sony Global Justice Fund—the workshop created a safe and empowering space for participants to explore girls' rights, gender equality, leadership, and self-expression. Through the panel discussion that followed the film showing and music workshop, participants were encouraged to share their stories, celebrate their voices, and recognize their role in building more inclusive communities.

The event featured inspiring messages from Hon. Jane Censoria Cajes-Yap, Mayor of Tagbilaran City; Engr. Gemma Inting, City Councilor of the Local Government of Tagbilaran City; and Dr. Del Mark A. Cagatin, PhD, JD, College Administrator of Tagbilaran City College.

We are grateful to our panelists, Dr. Karina Mae A. Uy-Bucoy, RPsy, RGC, PhD, Assistant Department Head of the Human Resource Management and Development Office of the Local Government of Tagbilaran City, and Larsine Grace Jensen, Mutya sa Tagbilaran 2026, for sharing their valuable insights and helping create meaningful conversations on girls’ rights, empowerment, and youth leadership.

We also extend our appreciation to Jolianne Salvado, artist from Careless Music Manila and Sony Music Philippines Inc., for sharing her talent and inspiring participants through the power of music and self-expression.

This initiative was made possible through the support of Sony Music Philippines Inc., the Local Government of Tagbilaran City, Tagbilaran City College for its invaluable partnership, and Holy Name University for generously hosting the venue.

Together with our partners and community of advocates, we continue to create spaces where young people can learn, express themselves, and recognize their power to shape a more inclusive and equitable future.

Because every girl deserves the space to be heard—and the opportunity to shape her future. 💜🩷💛
