💙 ADVOCACY THURSDAY | A Mission That Cares 💙

Advocacy is love in action—standing with those who are sick, poor, vulnerable, and marginalized, and responding with compassion. 🤲❤️

Through the Seven Advocacies of the Camillian mission—Healthcare 🏥, Social Services 🤝, Pastoral Care 🙏, Humanitarian Assistance 🫂, Community Development 🌱, Formation 📖, and Missionary Service 🌍—we are invited to care for the whole person and bring dignity, healing, and hope where they are most needed. ✨

Through the PDO, and with the generosity of our donors, benefactors, partners, volunteers, and supporters, this mission reaches people and communities who need care and solidarity. 💙

Today, let us pause and ask:

💭 Who needs my care today?
💭 What can I do to make a difference?

A small act of love ❤️, generosity 🎁, prayer 🙏, or service 🤲 can become a great blessing when offered with a generous heart.

🌹 OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY
Memorial: October 7

Today, we honor Our Lady of the Rosary, a title of the Blessed Virgin Mary that invites Christians to contemplate Christ through the prayer of the Rosary. The feast was established in the universal Church in 1571 and is closely associated with Mary’s intercession and the Christian victory at the Battle of Lepanto.

The Rosary teaches us to pray with faith, reflect with a quiet heart, and remain close to Christ in every season of life. Through Mary, we are reminded that prayer is not only words—it is a way of entrusting our joys, struggles, and the needs of others to God.

🌿 A simple challenge for today: Pray one decade of the Rosary for someone who is sick, suffering, lonely, or in need. Then, if possible, accompany your prayer with one small act of kindness.

As Camillians, may Mary teach us to recognize Christ in the sick and suffering, and to respond with compassionate hearts and generous hands.

🙏 Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
May our prayers become love in action, and may our lives become instruments of healing, hope, and compassion.

❤️ PDO IN ACTION | A MINISTRY OF WELCOME

Last October 3, Saturday, during the Healing Mass, the Camillian Fathers – Philanthropic Development Office (PDO) had the joy of welcoming our dear Camillian friends, collaborators, and co-missionaries.

Through simple acts of assistance, guidance, and presence, we were reminded that pastoral ministry is not only about what we do—it is about how we accompany people.

Every smile, helping hand, and conversation became a small expression of the compassionate heart of Christ and the charism of St. Camillus.

🙏 Thank you for journeying with us in prayer and mission.

❤️ Together, let us continue to be hands that serve, hearts that care, and co-missionaries who bring hope to those in need.

❤️ MISSION WEDNESDAY | WE ARE CO-MISSIONARIES

Every mission begins with a heart willing to care. 🕊️

During our October 3 Healing Mass, we gathered with our Camillian friends, collaborators, families, and fellow Mass-goers—not only to pray for healing, but to remember that we are all invited to become co-missionaries in the charism of St. Camillus.

The Camillian mission is a mission of compassionate service, healing, and care for those who are sick, suffering, vulnerable, and in need.

Mission is not carried out by missionaries alone. Through our prayers, presence, generosity, time, and acts of compassion, we become partners—and co-missionaries—in continuing the healing mission of Christ.

“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” — Matthew 25:40

🌿 You, too, can be part of the mission.
Walk with the Camillians. Pray with us. Serve with us. Together, let us live the charism of St. Camillus de Lellis by bringing healing, hope, and compassionate care to those in need.

❤️ A REFLECTION FROM THE PDO HEAD
“Where Compassion Becomes Mission”

The Philanthropic Development Office (PDO) is more than an office that receives donations, develops partnerships, or manages resources. At its deepest meaning, PDO is a ministry of communion—a bridge that connects generous hearts with the suffering of our brothers and sisters, and ultimately, with the compassionate Heart of Christ.

At the center of the Camillian charism is the profound conviction that Christ is encountered in the sick, the suffering, the poor, and the vulnerable. St. Camillus de Lellis taught us to see the sick not merely as recipients of care, but as Christ Himself—to serve them with the tenderness we would offer to the Lord.

This is why our work matters.

Through our seven advocacies—Community Health Development; Physical Structure and Equipment Upgrading; Care for the Vulnerable; Pastoral Care in Health; Human Resource Development; Scholarship Program; and Care for Aging and Sick Camillians—we seek to translate compassion into concrete acts of love.

And our mission goes beyond material assistance. Through pastoral care, prayer initiatives, Healing Masses, remembrance of the faithful departed, and accompaniment of those who suffer, PDO strives to remind people that no one should have to carry pain alone.

In the Gospel, Jesus reminds us:

“Whatever you did for one of the least of my brothers, you did for me.”
— Matthew 25:40

This is the spirituality behind our work.

Every donation can become bread for someone who is hungry, care for someone who is sick, education for someone who dreams, dignity for someone who is vulnerable, and hope for someone who feels forgotten.

But perhaps even more beautifully, every act of generosity can become a prayer made visible.

As I serve as Head of the PDO, I am continually reminded that we are not simply building a culture of giving. We are building a culture of compassion. We invite people not merely to give something, but to become part of God's work of healing and mercy.

🤲 YOU HAVE A PLACE IN THIS MISSION

You can be part of the Camillian mission through your prayers, time, talents, resources, and partnerships.

Because when one heart chooses to care, another life can find hope.

More hands. More hearts. More lives in service to the sick.

May we continue to place our hearts in our hands, and together become instruments of Christ's healing, mercy, and compassionate love. ❤️

This All Souls’ season, the Camillian Fathers – Philanthropic Development Office (PDO) warmly invites you to take part in:

🕊️ IN LOVING MEMORY

Write a Name. Offer a Prayer. Share a Gift.

You may submit the names of your departed loved ones to be prayerfully remembered before and during the Saturday Healing Mass on November 7, 2026.

You may also offer a voluntary gift to support the continuing mission of the Camillian Fathers in caring for the sick, the poor, and the vulnerable. There is no fixed amount—your prayer and participation are already a meaningful offering.

❤️ Let us remember those we love, offer them our prayers, and continue their memory through acts of love and compassion.

🌿 SAINT OF THE DAY | ST. FAUSTINA KOWALSKA
October 5 | Apostle of Divine Mercy

Today, we remember St. Maria Faustina Kowalska (1905–1938), a Polish religious sister known for her deep trust in God’s mercy. Through a life of prayer, humility, suffering, and service, she became a witness to Christ’s Divine Mercy.

💙 LESSON FROM ST. FAUSTINA
Trust God even in difficult moments. Having received His mercy, let us also become merciful—through forgiveness, kindness, patience, and love.

🤲 TODAY’S CHALLENGE
Notice someone who may be hurting. Offer a prayer, a listening heart, a kind word, or a simple act of service.

As Camillians, may we bring Christ’s compassion to the sick, suffering, vulnerable, and those in need.

🙏 Prayer:
St. Faustina, teach us to trust in God’s mercy and to share His compassion with others. Help us serve with love and generosity. Amen.

🙏 PRAYER FOR THE WEEK

Heavenly Father,
As we begin this new week, open our eyes to those who need compassion, our hearts to those who are hurting, and our hands to those we can help.

Teach us to love not only in words, but through kindness, mercy, and humble service. Give us the courage to notice those who may be overlooked and the grace to become a neighbor to everyone we meet.

Amen.

🌿 Reflection:
In the story of the Good Samaritan, Jesus reminds us that love becomes real when we choose to stop, care, and act. May our faith move us beyond ourselves and lead us closer to those who need our compassion.

Saint of the Day: St. Faustina Kowalska
St. Faustina reminds us to trust deeply in God's mercy and to share that mercy through works of charity. May her example inspire us to become gentle instruments of God's love.
