God empowered Joshua to subdue the fortified city of Jericho with instructions to march around for six days and seven times on the seventh day, followed by the blowing of the priests’ trumpets and the people’s roar.
Joshua, a military commander, was given a seeming unusual and imcomprehensible command, yet he chose to obey and trust God in a state of uncertainty. Yet Joshua and the Israelites chose to obey and trust God, even when they did not understand everything God was saying.
This reminds us that faith is not dependent on having every answer. God sees beyond what we can vividly see, and His wisdom is far greater than ours. Like Joshua, we are called to trust His character and follow Him faithfully. We may not understand what He is doing, but we can completely trust who He is in our lives.
See you, next week!
