A productive planning meeting was held for the scientific program of PNCA 2026 held on March 16, together with Dr. Jojo of the Philippine National AIDS Council - PNAC, with Dr. Ditangco, Dr. Marlyn, and Tita IFF of ASP.
Discussions focused on shaping both the implementation and social tracks of the conference. The team reviewed a proposed three-day program structure featuring plenary sessions, breakout discussions on biomedical and social science topics, and dedicated forums on financing and sustainability.
Key priorities included strengthening the role of local government units (LGUs) in HIV response implementation, advancing social contracting between government and civil society, and addressing ongoing challenges in harm reduction within existing legal frameworks. The group also explored engaging representatives from high-burden areas and integrating updates on HIV education policies, particularly the inclusion of HIV education in the national curriculum.
