𝐀𝐁𝐈𝐒𝐎 𝐒𝐀 𝐏𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐎

Alinsunod sa Proclamation No. 1189 na nagdedeklara ng pagdiriwang ng Eid’l Fitr (Feast of Ramadan) bilang isang Regular Holiday, ipinaaalam sa publiko na pansamantalang tigil operasyon ang mga tanggapan ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) bukas, Biyernes, ika-20 Marso.

Ang pagdiriwang ng Eid’l Fitr ay isang mahalagang okasyon para sa ating mga kapatid na Muslim bilang pagtatapos ng banal na buwan ng Ramadan. Hinihikayat ang lahat na igalang at makiisa sa diwa ng kapayapaan, pagkakaisa, at pananampalataya.

Muling pinalawig ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) ang validity ng 𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼 𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝘀𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗸𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗴 nakatakdang mag-expire ngayong 𝟯𝟬 𝗦𝗲𝘁𝘆𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 hanggang 𝟭𝟱 𝗢𝗸𝘁𝘂𝗯𝗿𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱.

Gayundin, ang lahat ng 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 na dapat i-renew sa parehong petsa ay maaari pa ring iproseso hanggang 𝟭𝟱 𝗢𝗸𝘁𝘂𝗯𝗿𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, nang walang karampatang multa o penalty.

Kasama rin sa pagpapalawig ang 𝟭𝟱-𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝗻𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗴𝗶𝘁 para sa pag-aayos ng 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀 na nagsimula noong 𝟮𝟲 𝗦𝗲𝘁𝘆𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, na maaari ring ayusin hanggang 𝟭𝟱 𝗢𝗸𝘁𝘂𝗯𝗿𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱.

Ang pagpapalawig na ito ay ipinatupad bilang tugon sa mga kanselasyon ng trabaho sa gobyerno at upang matulungan ang publiko na naapektuhan ng malalakas na pag-ulan na dala ng Habagat at ng mga Bagyong Nando, Opong, at Paulo, pati na rin ang matinding lindol na naganap sa Cebu.

The Land Transportation Office (LTO), under the guidance of Acting Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Giovanni Z. Lopez, has advised all motorists that the use of improvised and temporary plates will be prohibited starting November 1, 2025.

LTO Chief, Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II said there is no more justification in the use of either the improvised or temporary plates since there is no more backlog of license plates for both four-wheel cars and motorcycles.

“Kaya sa hindi pa nakukuha ang kanilang mga plaka, we advise them to do so in order to avoid any inconvenience with regard to the strict implementation of this policy. Let us take advantage of the entire month of October to do so,” said Asec Mendoza, adding that this is in line with the instruction of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos, Jr. to finally address all plate-related concerns.

Once the policy is implemented, Asec Mendoza said LTO enforcers and other deputized personnel to enforce traffic rules and regulations will be advised to apprehend violators for violation of Joint Administrative Order 2014-001 and other existing laws, rules and regulations.

The penalties under the JAO 2014-001 are P5,000 fine and confiscation of the temporary and improvised plates.

He added that motor vehicles with improvised or temporary plates will not be accepted for renewal of registration.

Asec Mendoza, however, clarified that the use of improvised plates will only be allowed provided that an authorization to use them shall be signed by concerned LTO offices that processed the duplicate plate request.

The improvised plate shall contain the assigned plate number of the vehicle with the words “Improvised Plate” below it.

Asec Mendoza said the strict policy against the use of improvised and temporary plates is reinforced by aggressive efforts to distribute all license plates nationwide in the soonest possible time.

He said the policy will also be supported with the LTO’s existing program of making sure that both the OR/CR and license plates must be available on the day of the release of newly-bought motor vehicles. #
