MOV International Film, Music, & Literature Festival

MOV International Film, Music, & Literature Festival www.movfest.org The 4th .MOV International Film, Music, & Literature Festival, aka Nikalexis.MOV, is dedicated to the memory of Alexis Tioseco and Nika Bohinc.

It will be held from September 1 to 6, 2011. "Not sure if I feel more like Muhammad Ali or Joe Frazier, but .MOV Fest was a thrilla either way."
--- ROB NILSSON, Cannes Camera d'Or & Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner

".MOV Fest is basically unsubsidized but it demonstrates the vitality of a small yet unruly and very vivacious group of filmmakers. And I only had to say “yes” to be there."
--- GER

TJAN ZUILHOF, International Film Festival Rotterdam programmer

"Have no fear: the real digital filmmaking revolution is still very much alive, although you may have to travel to a festival in the Philippines to witness it. .MOV Fest is the Philippines' long-awaited answer to the rousing call of the Digital Revolution."
--- TODD VEROW, New York & Chicago Underground Film Festival winner, RES Magazine contributor
MOV International Film, Music, & Literature Festival, established January 2002, is the Philippines' first digital film festival, as well as the world’s only creative initiative that celebrates film, music, and literature exclusively.
MOV Fest is a platform for filmmakers, writers, and musicians, giving them the timely opportunity to present their multi-layered artistic skills and culturally relevant interests. It also fosters interaction among independent Filipino artists with the rest of the international community, encouraging dialogue and collaborations. Previous awardees include Lav Diaz (Evolution Of A Filpino Family), Woo Ming Jin (Love For Dogs) and Raya Martin (The Island At The End Of The World). We need at least $20,000 to subsidize the festival. Help us fund the 4th .MOV Fest which will be held from September 1 to 6, 2011. This festival would not be possible without the support of corporate sponsors, institutional partners, attendees, and donors. The 4th .MOV International Film, Music, & Literature Festival is dedicated to the memory of film critics Alexis Tioseco and Nika Bohinc. LINKS:
