Rescue Recon 1 Philippines, Inc. (RR1) is a non-governmental organization committed to strengthening emergency response, disaster preparedness, humanitarian assistance, and rescue capabilities through continuous training, professional development, and collaboration with recognized national and international organizations.
Over the years, RR1 has continuously strengthened its personnel
and operational capabilities across various fields, including Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Urban Search and Rescue (USAR), Fire Safety and Rescue, Disaster Response, Technical Rescue, and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR).
One of the significant strengths of Rescue Recon 1 Philippines, Inc.
is the experience and professional expertise of its core personnel.
Many of RR1's core members have undergone specialized training conducted by Pompiers de Urgence Internationale (PUI) - France and are members or associated personnel of PUI France. Their exposure to international humanitarian and rescue operations has significantly contributed to the development of RR1's training systems, operational practices, and technical capabilities.
PUI France is an international humanitarian organization with extensive expertise in emergency response, humanitarian assistance, and Urban Search and Rescue. Its USAR team is classified under the United Nations International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG) system. Through training and professional engagement with PUl France, RR1 personnel have gained exposure to internationally recognized methodologies and operational practices in areas such as USAR, medical response, technical rescue, operational safety, incident management, and disaster response.
The knowledge and experience gained by RR1 personnel through these international training engagements are continuously shared within the organization through capability-building programs, practical exercises, lectures, technical training, and field activities. This creates a continuous cycle of training, knowledge transfer, skills development, and operational readiness among RR1 personnel and its growing network of responders and volunteers.
Rescue Recon 1 Philippines, Inc. recognizes that effective emergency response extends beyond individual competencies. It requires capable personnel, well-organized teams, appropriate resources and equipment, effective command and coordination mechanisms, continuous training, operational discipline, and adherence to internationally recognized standards and established good practices.
As the RR1 network continues to grow, it brings together rescuers,
emergency medical responders, instructors, volunteers, and professionals with diverse expertise in emergency response and disaster management. This expanding network provides a platform for knowledge sharing, specialized skills development, and strengthened collaboration among organizations, communities, and other stakeholders involved in emergency preparedness and humanitarian response.
