Students from different organizations gathered with one message: the time for action is now. In the face of escalating environmental crises, silence is no longer an option.

Sign our petition to establish the Asia Marine Peace Park in the Asia High Seas. As the 2026 ASEAN Chair, the Philippines has the historic duty to lead this movement.

We are utilizing the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) and the newly ratified Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ) Treaty to declare the heart of our ocean as a sanctuary, not a battleground.

Like the Good Stories we’ve always shared, this is about the right of our children to inherit a living and breathing planet. This high seas reservation will be the nursery for our fish and the lungs of our region.

We don't need to own the ocean to protect it. We only need the courage to be its guardians.

This Earth Day, take a step beyond appreciation and into action with the Ecological Debt and Mining Forum organized by the Loyola Mountaineers, in partnership with Alyansa Kontra Mina, Legal Rights and Natural Resources Center, and the Ateneo Environmental Science Society. Join us as we explore the concept of ecological debt and unpack how mining practices contribute to environmental degradation and social inequities–especially among indigenous communities. Maybe the dwarves were not the good guys after all?

If you’re a fan of the beautiful landspaces of the Philippines and desire to learn more about the realities that they face, this is a conversation you won’t want to miss.

On this Earth Day 2026, we refuse to reduce our love for the environment to slogans and token gestures. We refuse to celebrate while our communities suffer the consequences of a system that exploits both people and planet.

Those in power continue to prioritize profit over people. Corporations extract, pollute, and destroy, while accountability remains absent. The burden is now passed onto us, the youth, the working class, the most vulnerable, forced to adapt to a crisis we did not create.

As Ateneans called to be people for and with others, our responsibility extends beyond just human life; it extends to the very planet that sustains all life.

Eco-Warriors! This National Women’s Month, let us all celebrate World Water Day 2026, with the theme of “Water & Gender: Where Water Flows, Equality Grows”! 🌊🫂

The world has indeed entered a state of global water bankruptcy - deeply affecting each of us. As much as the crisis affects everyone, it does not happen equally 😥 In places where there is a lack of safe drinking water and sanitation near their homes, inequalities flourish, and those who bear the brunt of the burden are women and girls. They are the ones who often collect and manage water, care for the sick, but are also the ones often left out of decision-making, leadership, and representation in systems that concern water. 🚨

Water crisis is a woman’s crisis. 💧

There is an urgent need for a transformative, rights-based approach to solving such challenges. Women’s voices should be heard, and their agency recognized. 📣 As such, for this year’s World Water Day, each individual must learn about the critical relationship between water, women, and gender equality. 🟰 If women and girls have their voices heard, equally, in water decisions, services would become more inclusive, sustainable and effective. 💚🙌
