Peralta of Laoag City, the first Fi****ms Department Commander of the defunct Philippine Constabulary, and the late Juliana Puzon Peralta of Pangasinan. His maternal grandparents are the late Isaias Estrella of Malolos, Bulacan, a Novelist by profession who wrote novels with Liwayway Publishing House and his late maternal grandmother, Dorotea Junsay-Estrella from Bulacan, Bulacan. LEON ESTRELLA PERALTA, took his primary school in F. Balagtas Elementary School, Bambang, Manila. His Secondary School at the University of the East, C.M. Recto, Manila and at the Far Eastern University, Morayta, Manila earning a Degree of Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. His ambition to become a Doctor of Medicine was unfulfilled when his late father died months right after graduation from College. In retrospect, when he was a High School student at the University of the East, he became an activist through the Samahan ng Demokratikong Kabataan (SDK), organized and joined rallies of militant students and when Martial Law was declared in September 1972 it put a stop temporarily to his advocacy. After college in 1977, he immediately joined Zuellig Pharma as Medical Representative, and was promoted and assigned as Regional Sales Manager in almost all of the Regions in the Philippines. While in Zuellig, he took up after college courses. After 10 years he resigned in Zuellig Pharma and established his own business in manufacturing of lead acid auto, truck and motorcycle batteries under the brand name “POWERITE” Heavy Duty Batteries. Currently, he is in the Livestock Business having established livestock buying stations in the different provinces of the Philippines. He returned to his advocacy in the year 2000 as a Social Reformist, Human Rights and Political Advocate and in November 2009, he become the Founding Chairman of the ANTI-TRAPO MOVEMENT OF THE PHILS.
