On October 23, the Intersex Rights Forum 2026 will bring together students and faculty members, human rights advocates, SOGIESC equality champions, government offices, civil society organizations, media representatives, and supporters of intersex rights advocacy.

This year’s discussion will focus on the current status and significance of the Cagandahan Bill, while strengthening institutional commitment and coordinated action to protect and advance the rights and welfare of intersex Filipinos and their families.

Living on the Edge: Impacts of the Debt Crisis to Filipino

The debt crisis characterized by neoliberal dictates and conditionalities led to the stunted growth of the Philippine economy particularly in agriculture and industry. This chronic crisis disproportionately affects most Filipinos—workers, farmers, urban poor, especially women. Meanwhile, the private sector, especially foreign and local capitalists, reaps benefits from this economic system. The imposition of austerity measures on the other hand, have exacerbated the situation of women by reducing public spending on social services and welfare programs. This has undermined women's full development and placed additional strain on women who are already burdened with caregiving responsibilities.

Ang totoong edukasyong pangkalusugan ay dumadaloy sa loob ng komunidad. ✊🌸

Noong Oktubre 10, matagumpay na idinaos ng UP Diliman Gender Office, kasama ang PWD BUPCA Inc., Women’s Club Pook Amorsolo, at SKPK, ang “Kaagapay, Kamayan, Kababaihan.”

Sa pamamagitan ng mga praktikal na talakayan ukol sa breast self-examination at mga health resources, pinatunayan natin na ang kaalaman at early detection ang ating pinakamalakas na depensa laban sa breast cancer. Ang ating Tai Chi at community potluck ay paalala rin na ang kalusugan ng bawat kababaihan ay nakatali sa lakas ng kaniyang komunidad.

Maraming salamat sa lahat ng dumalo at nagbahagi! Patuloy tayong maging kaagapay sa kalusugan at karapatan ng bawat isa. 💖
