𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆 🌟🤓

Last April 30, 2026, Adarna Group Foundation conducted a pre-development workshop for the Magsimulang Magbilang Program to guage the existing knowledge and teaching practices of child development workers in early numeracy.

The workshop featured hands-on activities where participants shared and demonstrated their current teaching approaches, along with a focused group discussion that helped surface key insights from their experiences. These inputs will serve as the foundation for developing a program that is inclusive, relevant, and responsive to their needs.

𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝘀𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺

Adarna Group Foundation Inc. successfully concluded its year-long Magsimulang Magbasa Program, equipping 65 child development workers (CDWs) across 72 centers and reaching over 1,600 parents and learners. Implemented in partnership with LBC Hari ng Padala Foundation Inc. and local stakeholders, the program distributed more than 16,000 learning materials and demonstrated measurable gains in CDWs’ teaching practices and skills in developing the reading readiness of young learners. Moving forward, insights from educators and parents will guide further improvements, strengthening home–school partnerships and ensuring a more consistent and responsive learning environment for young Filipino learners.

Adarna House and Adarna Group Foundation, successfully held another productive Eager Reader Learning Session. Attended by 40 eager reader advocates, Teacher Micah Del Mundo shared insights on creating a positive and supportive learning environment, nurturing young learners through developmentally appropriate practices, and co-regulating children’s emotions.

Proceeds from this session will help support AGFI’s communities and programs, contributing to AGFI's vision of making every Filipino child a reader.

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝗴𝗮 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 💛

Angat Buhay, Adarna Group Foundation, and Tanglaw ni Teresa successfully concluded the "Developmentally Appropriate Practice in Literacy and Numeracy for Preschool Children" workshop, a 3-day refresher capacity building initiative for child development workers and teachers of Naga City designed to deepen their knowledge and equip them with practical, developmentally appropriate strategies for fostering a positive environment for young learners.

With 10.5 CPD units, the workshop strengthened key areas of ECCD practice—from literacy and numeracy to play and positive classroom environments—supporting child development workers in nurturing holistic learning experiences for every Filipino child.

More than a training, this was a shared commitment among educators, partners, and communities to invest in those who shape the foundations of early learning. 🌱
