Adarna Group Foundation (AGFI) joined the Assisi Development Foundation (ADFI) through its Partnerships for Indigenous Peoples Education (PIP-IPEd) Program as a resource partner for the Teachersโ Training on Culturally Grounded and Creative Teaching and Learning, held on September 18โ22, 2026, in Davao City. โจ
The five-day training brought together approximately 45 learning partners and Indigenous Peoples Education (IPEd) advocates from across the country. As part of the program, AGFI, represented by its Executive Director, Con Estrella, facilitated a session on Creative Learning Pedagogies, introducing various teaching approaches that can support culturally grounded and engaging IPEd learning experiences. The session also explored effective storytelling techniques in the classroom to make lessons more engaging for Indigenous learners.
AGFI also invited Teacher Nica Mae De Castro to facilitate โDesigning Contextualized Learning Resources,โ a session focused on integrating Indigenous stories, traditions, the environment, and community knowledge into lesson planning and developing culturally appropriate teaching materials.
Through this partnership, AGFI continues to support educators in creating learning environments that are creative and inclusive of the diverse cultural identities and experiences of Indigenous Peoples. ๐ค
