Guhit Visual Arts Group co-founder Arnold De Juan Lalongisip will hold his solo exhibit at the Art Underground from Dec 20-30, 2025.

Art Underground is pleased to announce a solo show by Arnold Lalongisip.

Arnold D. Lalongisip (b. 1987) is a visual artist hailing from Batangas City, Philippines. Formally trained at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines as a student of Electrical Engineering, Lalongisip found himself more inclined in the arts. His works won him accolades, such as being a finalist at the Metrobank Art & Design Excellence (MADE) competition in 2012 and Grand Prize at Vision Petron in 2011 and 2013, among others. Lalongisip has always had well-received exhibitions, including his shows at Art Fair Philippines, Leon Gallery International, Kate Contemporary Madrid, and has participated at notable international art fairs such as Art Central, Art Busan, and Art Fair Asia Fukuoka.

The exhibition will be on view from December 20 to December 30, 2025.

Art Underground is located at 2/F Mabini180, 180 A. Mabini, Brgy. Addition Hills, San Juan, Metro Manila, and is open from 10AM - 7PM, Monday to Saturday.

A delicate interplay of strength and grace, JM Saycon’s Aurora is a tribute to the quiet yet undeniable power of femininity. In this monochromatic series, sculptures are draped in aluminum, their forms partially veiled, save for the face that emanates such full splendor. This contrast between concealment and revelation evokes a sense of transformation, echoing the symbolic nature of dawn — a new beginning, a renewal of the self.

Like the aurora of daybreak, Saycon’s subjects exude an ethereal presence, embodying elegance, resilience, and the myriad facets of womanhood. His meticulous attention to detail lends an almost living quality to each piece, where every curve and contour speaks of finesse, persistence, and an inner light that refuses to be dimmed.

Each artwork reflects the characteristics of women, qualities both innate and cultivated, from gentleness to fortitude, serenity to passion. Through this series, Saycon celebrates not just femininity, but the enduring spirit that defines it, offering an homage that is as refined as it is profound. Saycon and his artworks are quiet yet powerful declarations — whispers that carry the weight of history, transformation, and grace.
