The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Pinyahan, through the Lakas Pinyahan Season 2 Basketball League Committee, is issuing this statement regarding recent incidents involving players that are inconsistent with the league's standards on proper conduct, respect, and sportsmanship.
The league was organized to provide the youth with a safe and positive environment where they can enjoy competition while practicing discipline, teamwork, and respect. As with any organized sporting activity, all participants are expected to observe the league's rules and maintain proper conduct both during games and in matters concerning the league.
After reviewing the reported incidents and available documentation, the League Committee has determined that the following players have violated the league's Technicalities, Discipline & League Ban provisions:
โข #24 โ Team Underdog (Midget)
The player was involved in an incident wherein the court gate was struck/slammed with considerable force, resulting in inappropriate conduct and disruption at the venue. As the court is a borrowed facility, all participants are expected to exercise proper care and respect for the venue and its personnel. Following the incident, the court administration and security personnel independently informed the League Committee that the player would no longer be permitted to enter or participate in games at the facility. The League Committee has therefore taken this circumstance into consideration in determining the appropriate disciplinary action for the remainder of the season.
โข #12 โ Team Batang Nia (Midget)
The player was found to have made repeated public and derogatory remarks concerning the league and its organizers through social media and league-related online discussions, including the use of profane and disrespectful language. While the League Committee acknowledges that players may express concerns or disagreements regarding league decisions, all participants are expected to communicate such concerns respectfully and in accordance with the Official SK House Rules.
APPLICABLE LEAGUE RULE
Under Section 4 โ Technicalities, Discipline & League Ban of the Official SK House Rules:
โRespect SK Officials & Referees: Disrespecting, disobeying, or harassing SK Officials and referees will not be tolerated. Violators will face immediate ejection, disqualification, and a ban from the league.โ
DISCIPLINARY ACTION
In accordance with the league rules and after consideration of the circumstances surrounding each incident, the League Committee has imposed the following sanction:
The two players identified above are hereby ๐๐๐ฆ๐ค๐จ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ก๐ ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฃ๐๐ก๐๐๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐ฃ๐๐ฅ๐ง๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ง๐๐ก๐ ๐๐ก ๐๐๐ ๐ฅ๐๐ ๐๐๐ก๐๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฆ ๐ข๐ ๐ง๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ฆ ๐ฃ๐๐ก๐ฌ๐๐๐๐ก ๐ฆ๐๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ก ๐ฎ ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐จ๐, effective immediately.
This decision applies to each player separately and based on their respective incident/s.
The sanction is intended to uphold the league's established standards of conduct and to ensure that the remaining games can proceed in an orderly, safe, and respectful environment.
We recognize that competitive games can bring strong emotions and disagreements. Players are welcome to raise concerns and express their views; however, such concerns must still be communicated through proper and respectful channels.
Participation in the league carries the responsibility to respect the venue, league officials, fellow players, and everyone involved in making the competition possible.
We therefore remind all players, coaches, and team representatives that sportsmanship extends beyond the game itself. Respect, discipline, and accountability are expected from everyone throughout the remainder of the season.
We thank all teams and participants who continue to cooperate with the league organizers and help maintain a safe, fair, and respectful environment for everyone.
