The National Rural Improvement Club proudly congratulates the MAABET Rural Improvement Club of Taytay, Palawan, for being recognized as an Outstanding Rural Improvement Club!

From a small organization of just 14 members with an initial capital of only โ‚ฑ900 in 2013, MAABET RIC has grown into an inspiring model of community resilience, cooperation, and sustainable development.

Despite facing the challenges brought by the pandemic and destructive typhoons, the club remained steadfast. Through unity, collective savings, and sustainable livelihood initiatives, they have achieved remarkable milestones:

Diliman, Quezon, City- On January 6, 2026, Atty. Mabel Villarica-Mamba, National President of the Rural Improvement Clubs (RIC) of the Philippines, together with RIC National Board Director Esnairah A. Didato and ATI Development Management Officer II Ulysses Francisco, paid a courtesy call to Undersecretary Cheryl Marie Natividad-Caballero of the Department of Agriculture (DA).

The meeting focused on the Gulayan sa Bayan Program, including the role of RIC as a partner of Local Government Units in its implementation, as well as discussions on future initiatives promoting rural development, agricultural empowerment, and community sustainability.

The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of RIC and the DA to collaborate in advancing food security, sustainable livelihoods, and inclusive rural development nationwide.
