The Peace and Equity Foundation (PEF), Angelo King Foundation (AKFI), and Kauyagan Savers Mpc (KSMPC) formalized a partnership on June 9, 2026, by signing a Memorandum of Agreement to construct a coffee warehouse facility in Impasugong, Bukidnon.
The project is part of KSMPCโs preparation as one of the hubs selected by the provincial government in the Bukidnon coffee roadmap, with a target consolidated coffee volume of about 120 metric tons in 2030.
The facility, supported by a โฑ2.5 million grant from AKFI, will strengthen the coffee value chain and benefit 200 smallholder coffee farmers by improving post-harvest handling, storage, and market access.
As part of the partnership, PEF will provide capacity-building support, project development assistance, and monitoring and evaluation services to help ensure the project's successful implementation.
During the signing ceremony, AKFI President Teddy Kingsu formally handed over the first tranche of funding amounting to โฑ1.25 million to incoming PEF Executive Director Cauchie Garcia.
Also present were AKFI Chair Ernesto Garilao, AKFI Board member Basilio King, outgoing PEF Executive Director Roberto Calingo, KSMPC Chair Paul Paraguya, PEF Area Manager Nikki Along, and PEF Senior Program Officer Laurinette Gonzalez.
