In celebration of Earth Day, we are thrilled to announce that ABS-CBN Foundation and Uniqlo Philippines are making waves for marine biodiversity and sustainable livelihood ๐๐
The ABS-CBN Foundation is committed to protecting marine biodiversity. This partnership with Uniqlo marks a significant step forward in our Citizen Science program in Mabini, Batangas, and the Verde Island Passage (VIP)
In the same way that Uniqlo works toward accessibility, ABS-CBN Foundationโs - citizen science efforts engage local communities and make scientific inquiry more accessible to them through tools, training, and livelihood support. This may only be a drop in the ocean of good going towards the VIP, but AFI has always believed that we can do more together.

UNIQLO Philippines announces its partnership with ABS-CBN Foundation to support their Citizen Science Program.
This partnership aims to support the advocacies of preserving our lush Philippine marine biodiversity and providing sustainable livelihood opportunities for the community safeguarding the area in Mabini, Batangas. The area is part of the Verde Island Passage, known as the "Center of the center of marine biodiversity in the world."
As part of UNIQLO's efforts in conserving natural resources and making a more positive impact on the environment, both on terrain and marine landscapes, proceeds from shopping bag purchases are used to support this collaboration.
