As part of the PILLAR Project, SALIGAN conducted a Training Needs Assessment (TNA) in the areas of Muntinlupa, Quezon City, and Rodriguez, Rizal in preparation for the formation of Community Paralegals. Through listening to the experiences, strengths, and learning needs of participants, the activity helped lay the groundwork for trainings that are rooted in the realities of the communities themselves.

The insights gathered will guide the development of the Paralegal Module and training designs, helping shape future Community Paralegals who can empower others, advocate for justice, and become catalysts for positive change in their communities.

This activity was organized by SALIGAN together with Foundation for the Development of the Urban Poor in Quezon City, Muntinlupa Development Foundation - MDF in Muntinlupa, and Community Organizers Multiversity - CO Multiversity in Rodriguez, Rizal. This activity is funded by the European Union.

SALIGAN's Katarungang Pambarangay Primer reached Romblon!

As part of the Romblon Legal Empowerment and Access Program (RLEAP) which was launched this year, the provincial government utilized and reproduced the KP Primer in their training-sessions with the Lupon. In the coming months, they will also be conducting sessions on local governance participation and environmental protection, using SALIGAN's manuals.

SALIGAN's Luntian Dumlao and Jaymi Margot Bondoc participated in the 13th Regular Meeting of the IAOCSSA. As one of the CSO members of the IAOCSSA, SALIGAN presented its innovative programs and interventions related to the Safe Spaces Act. SALIGAN was a member of the TWG which formulated the SSA IRR.
