22nd Awards Night and Handover | 06 - 26 - 2026 ✨

Last night, we proudly celebrated the 22nd Awards Night and Handover, an evening dedicated to recognizing outstanding service, celebrating achievements, and welcoming new leaders who will continue the mission of serving the community.

Our heartfelt congratulations to the Rotary Club of Rivercity Marikina City for the remarkable impact you continue to make in our community. What may seem like a simple act to others has brought hope and meaningful change to the lives of many. Your unwavering dedication, generosity, and compassion have touched countless people. May you continue to serve wholeheartedly and never stop making a positive impact on the community.

We would also like to extend our warmest congratulations to our Adviser, Ma'am Ma. Idalyn Pagunsan, High Impact President Nhyllz Erik Ishimaru Pontanares, and our Good President Clarenz Loraine Ortañez for receiving their well-deserved certificates. These recognitions are a testament to your hard work, leadership, and dedication. 𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙠 𝙗𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙗𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙘𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧. ☪️

Our High Impact President, Nhyllz Erik Ishi Maru T. Pontanares, proudly represented Nangka High School at 𝐑𝐈𝐇𝐋𝐀𝐇 2026: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐦-𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦, a landmark initiative spearheaded by the Department of Tourism - Philippines (DOT) that brought together tourism leaders, government officials, and international delegates from Malaysia, Qatar, Thailand, and other Middle Eastern countries to promote Halal and Muslim-friendly tourism, cultural understanding, and global collaboration.

More than simply attending an event, this meaningful experience provided an opportunity to learn, listen, and appreciate the richness of different cultures, traditions, and beliefs. It further strengthened the conviction that diversity is not something that divides people, but something to be celebrated. 🕋

The club extends its heartfelt gratitude to Good President Ma’am Abby Espinas, Spouse Ma’am Jenny Francisco, and Past President Ma’am Rachelle Enriquez for the invitation and for continuously empowering young leaders through meaningful initiatives anchored on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

Special appreciation is also extended to our ever-supportive Club Adviser, Ma’am Idalyn Pagunsan, whose unwavering guidance, encouragement, and dedication continue to inspire our club to grow as leaders and active changemakers. 🕌

As Rotary embraces the incoming theme, “Create Lasting Impact,” may this experience inspire more young leaders to build bridges of understanding, promote compassion, and contribute to a more inclusive and harmonious society—one meaningful conversation at a time. 🌙

Today, we honor the brave Filipinos who fought for our freedom and gave us the opportunity to live in an independent nation. Their courage, sacrifice, and love for our country continue to inspire us to be responsible citizens and proud Filipinos. 🇵🇭

As we celebrate this special day, let us show our love for the Philippines not only through words but also through our actions. By helping others, serving our communities, and working together, we continue the spirit of patriotism that our heroes fought for.

In line with Rotary's motto, "Service Above Self," let us put the needs of others before our own and contribute to building a better and stronger nation for all. 🙌

With the donations, and services given by the Tubig For Tomorrow foundation, and the National Bookstore this June 3, 2026— journeys of students were highly impacted and secured for one’s academic excellence. 🤓
