Peer Ed ME PAMAC-Q

Peer Ed ME PAMAC-Q Currently, the group is being coordinated by a set of officers representing the four cities in Metro Manila (Pasay, Manila, Caloocan and Quezon City).

The Peer Educators Movement for Empowerment of Pasay Manila Caloocan and Quezon City (Peer Ed ME PAMAC-Q), a youth-led non government organization working on HIV and s*xual & reproductive health and rights issues. Peer Educators Movement for Empowerment of Pasay, Manila, Caloocan and Quezon City (Peer Ed ME PAMAC-Q) is a youth-led group created in 2008 with a key advocacy on increasing awareness a

nd access to services of young people on STI, HIV and AIDS, & Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, and the Rights of the Child. The membership of Peer Ed ME PAMAC-Q includes the majority of youth sub-groups: male having s*x with male, gang members, freelance, establishment s*x workers, le****ns, g**s, transgender, bis*xuals, in-school youth and out-of-school youth, and cultural youth groups. Peer Ed ME PAMAC-Q has been actively participating in consultations led by UNICEF and Committee on Children and HIV & AIDS (CCHIV) in developing youth-led national strategy for the AMTP. Youth in grassroots communities, through Peer Ed ME PAMAC-Q, have now the opportunity to influence national processes as well as challenges that need to be taken into consideration in the advocacy strategy.
