We often call mothers the light of every home ๐ผ but beyond the household, women have always been powerful forces shaping our communities and the world ๐
Across generations and cultures, women have continuously worked, cared, built, and sustained life in ways that often go unseen and unacknowledged. Yet alongside these roles, many carry multiple overlapping responsibilities such as caregiving, emotional labor, work, and household demands, which leave very little space for their own rest and well-being.
In reality, with so many layers of responsibility and silent exhaustion, many women set aside their own needs just to keep going for others. More often than not, their well-being becomes secondary as they continue to show up for everyone else, carrying on even at the cost of their own mental and emotional health. In fact, research shows that many mothers delay seeking help due to limited time and competing priorities, often relying on spirituality, family support, or personal coping strategies instead of formal care. In truth, healing and support should never be something they have to postpone.
The world is already heavy as it is, and no mother should have to carry it alone. Thus, we should all work to empower, support, and uplift women by recognizing their needs, honoring their rest, and helping create spaces where their well-being is also prioritized ๐ฟ
