𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗨𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗢 𝗦𝗔 𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗧𝗨𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗢?

Isang daliri ang madaling ituro. Isang tao ang madaling sisihin.

Sa mga insidenteng nagaganap sa loob ng paaralan sa kasalukuyan, ang daliri ba ay nararapat na ituro sa g**o?

Sa likod ng bawat silid-aralan ay g**ong hindi lamang nagtuturo ng aralin, kundi umaalalay sa mga mag-aaral na nangangailangan ng gabay. Sa bawat suliranin, maaaring may pananagutang kailangang harapin, ngunit hindi lahat ng nangyayari sa paaralan ay maaaring isisi sa isang g**o.

May mga suliraning nagmumula sa tahanan, komunidad, at iba pang salik na hindi kayang kontrolin ng g**o. Gayunman, patuloy silang pumapasok, nagtuturo, nakikinig, at gumagabay.

Sapagkat ang pagtuturo ay hindi lamang pagsusulat sa pisara. Ito ay pagtuturo ng direksiyon.

Sa likod ng bawat estudyanteng nagtagumpay, may mga g**ong minsang umagapay at umalalay. Maaaring makalimutan ang ilang araling itinuro, ngunit mananatili ang alaala ng g**ong naniwala, nagbigay ng pagkakataon, at tumulong sa oras ng pangangailangan.

Dahil ang g**ong nagtuturo ng aral ay siya ring g**ong umaalalay sa estudyanteng hinahanap ang sariling direksiyon sa buhay.

Celebrating Togetherness, One Roll of the Dice at a Time! 🎲

Last September 24, IPP JJ Lagrimas, CSD Lucy Garcia, and Rtr. Ella Parungao were invited by our sponsoring club, the Rotary Club of Holy Spirit, to join their meeting and celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival through a fun-filled Mooncake Dice Game!

Team Holy Spirit gathered for an evening of laughter, camaraderie, and friendly competition. From rolling the dice to winning exciting prizes, it was a celebration filled with fun, fellowship, and memories we will surely treasure. ✨

Here’s to more moments of Service, Fellowship, and Togetherness! 💙💛

From faith to food, there’s always more culture to discover. 🇵🇭✨

Last September 20, 2026, the Rotaractors of the Rotaract Club of Holy Spirit went on a local cultural trip to Taal, Batangas, led by Past President JR Delgra of the Rotary Club of Holy Spirit.

We visited the Basilica of San Martin de Tours, the largest Catholic churches in Asia, explored the Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Caysasay, and enjoyed local favorites like Lomi and halo-halo together. ⛪🍜🍧

Beyond sightseeing, the trip gave us an opportunity to appreciate our local heritage, learn about traditions, strengthen fellowship, and create meaningful memories together.

Indeed, there is so much more culture to learn, from faith to food, heritage to history, and stories to shared experiences.

Last September 19, 2026, the Rotaractors of the Rotaract Club of Holy Spirit ended the night the right way — karaoke and bonfire by the beach. 🎤🔥

The night kicked off with a delicious dinner prepared by none other than Past President JR Delgra, followed by refreshing drinks crafted by President Jai Rabina. 🍹

Then came the main event: everyone sang their hearts out under the stars, with the bonfire crackling and waves in the background. ✨

It was truly a night to remember. 💙

Last September 19, 2026, Rotaractors of the Rotaract Club of Holy Spirit were invited to a wedding reception in Lemery, Batangas, through a friend of Immediate Past President JJ Lagrimas. Beyond celebrating the newlyweds, the gathering gave our Rotaractors an opportunity to experience and appreciate the warmth, traditions, and hospitality of a Filipino wedding celebration in Batangas.

Our Rotaractors enjoyed the food prepared for the celebration and witnessed several post-wedding traditions, including sharing kalamay, wrapping the newlyweds in blankets, and the traditional throwing of coins inside the house.

And, of course, no Filipino celebration would be complete without karaoke! 🎤 Our Rotaractors took turns singing their hearts out, with Past Presidents Van and James, Rotaractor Dan, and President Jai bringing their own energy to the celebration. ❤️

More than a celebration, the experience became an opportunity to build friendships, appreciate local culture, and create lasting memories beyond the usual service activities.

🌊 Cleaner Shores, Stronger Communities!

Last September 19, 2026, the Rotaract Club of Holy Spirit, with 10 members in attendance, led by President Jai Rabina and Past President JR Delgra of the Rotary Club of Holy Spirit, participated in the International Coastal Cleanup Day through a shoreline cleanup in the First District of Lemery, Batangas.

Through the collective efforts of our volunteers, we covered approximately 1,000 square meters of coastal area and collected 2,300 kilograms of waste, filling 43 sacks. Some of the sacks used were generously donated by the Interactors of the Interact Club of Holy Spirit National High School, highlighting the power of collaboration among young people in creating cleaner and more sustainable communities.

This initiative supports Rotary’s Environment Area of Focus by promoting environmental stewardship, proper waste management, and community action toward cleaner waterways and coastal ecosystems.

Dalawang numero.

Ngunit para sa isang bansang may sugat na hindi basta naghihilom, hindi lamang ito simpleng bilang. Ito ay mga taong nawala, mga pamilyang naiwan, mga tinig na pinatahimik, at mga kuwentong patuloy na hinihintay na marinig.

Ngayong Setyembre 21, ginugunita ang ika-54 na anibersaryo ng paglagda ni Ferdinand Marcos Sr. sa Proclamation No. 1081 na nagdeklara ng martial law noong 1972. Sa mga sumunod na taon, malawak na naitala ang mga paglabag sa karapatang pantao sa ilalim ng kaniyang rehimen.

Ngunit sa likod ng bawat bilang ay may pangalan.

May isang anak na naghihintay sa pag-uwi ng kaniyang magulang. May pamilyang nawalan ng haligi. May estudyanteng natutong manahimik dahil delikado ang magsalita. May mamamahayag na kailangang timbangin ang bawat salitang ilalathala. At may mga ordinaryong Pilipinong ang tanging kasalanan ay ang magtanong, tumutol, o mapagkamalang kalaban ng pamahalaan.

Dito nagiging mapanganib ang pagtingin sa Martial Law bilang isang simpleng kabanata lamang sa aklat-aralin. Kapag ang kasaysayan ay binawasan ng mga pangalan at karanasan, nagiging madali itong gawing kuwento na maaaring baguhin ayon sa kung sino ang nagsasalaysay.

Hindi nangangahulugang pare-pareho ang karanasan ng bawat Pilipino noong panahong iyon. Ngunit hindi rin maaaring burahin ang mga dokumentadong paglabag dahil lamang may ibang alaala o pananaw tungkol sa panahong iyon. Mismong Amnesty International ay nagdokumento ng malawak na pattern ng arbitraryong pag-aresto at pagkakakulong, torture, enforced disappearance, pagpatay, at iba pang paglabag sa karapatang pantao.

Marahil, ito ang paalala na ang kalayaan ay hindi minana upang basta ipagpalit sa limot. Ang malayang pamamahayag, karapatang magpahayag ng saloobin, at kakayahang magtanong sa mga nasa kapangyarihan ay hindi mga bagay na dapat ituring na permanente. Ang mga ito ay mga karapatang kailangang kilalanin at pangalagaan.

Sa panahon ng social media, mas mabilis kumalat ang impormasyon. Kasabay nito, mas mabilis ding kumalat ang maling impormasyon. Isang maling pahayag na paulit-ulit na ibinabahagi ay maaaring magmukhang katotohanan; isang mahalagang kuwento na hindi naipasa ay maaaring tuluyang mawala.

Hindi lamang ito ika-54 na taon mula nang ideklara ang Martial Law.

Ito ay 54 na taon ng pag-alala, pagtatanong, pag-aaral, at pakikipagbuno sa isang bahagi ng kasaysayan na hindi dapat pinipili lamang kung alin ang komportableng tandaan.

Dahil ang kasaysayan ay hindi lamang tungkol sa mga taong nasa larawan. Tungkol din ito sa mga taong wala na sa larawan, ngunit hindi dapat mawala sa ating alaala.

Huwag nating hayaang mabaon sa lupa.

🌧️ The rains have been pouring across the country these past few weeks—even months. With heavy rains affecting our communities, our shorelines have become increasingly vulnerable to waste and debris carried by floods and waterways.

But when nature is affected, we have the power to respond. 🌊💙

This September 19, 2026, the 𝐑𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐲 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 will be taking action through a Shoreline Cleanup in District 1, Lemery, Batangas.

While our efforts are focused on District 1, we are proud to be part of a bigger collective movement. Across different locations, other organizations and volunteers are also coming together to care for their own communities and shorelines. 🌱🤝

Because meaningful change does not always begin with something grand. Sometimes, it begins with a pair of hands willing to help.

One volunteer can make a difference.
A group can create an impact.
But when communities come together, we can create lasting impact that reaches far beyond the shoreline.
