The University of the Philippines Student Association of Valuers of Energy Resources (UP SAVER) is a socio-academic group that gears towards academic excellence and balances social activities of its members with its service for the society. Established on March 29, 1995 by a group of 30 young aspiring electrical engineers from what was then the UP Department of Electrical Engineering (now Electric

al and Electronics Engineering Institute), it serves as the student arm for the UP Solar Laboratory and the Department of Energy of the Philippine government.
