EmpowerHer may be concluding as a project, but our movement continues! During Day 1 of the WEE Connect National Convening, our Community of Practice members gathered to recite and sign the WEE Connect Commitment Wall—pledging to carry forward values like Care, Courage, Inclusion, Partnership, and Solidarity.

Together, we affirmed 5 core commitments to drive lasting change:
1️⃣ To continue learning on gender equality & care
2️⃣ To embed change in policies & systems
3️⃣ To create opportunities for women leaders & enterprises
4️⃣ To share & support across our network
5️⃣ To advocate & collaborate for care-responsive ecosystems

ISEA President Marie Lisa Dacanay delivered the keynote address at the 3rd Gender Advocates Conference co-organized by APPEND and Good Return at Novotel Manila Araneta City on September 10, 2026. She called on the microfinance sector to create spaces for women to thrive, cultivate the spirit of social entrepreneurship and build solidarity for collective action, moving from financing transactions to financing transformation towards an economy where women do not have to choose between caring for others and building their own futures.

Last August 17, WEE Connect members and changemakers came together for the WEE Connect National Convening—celebrating champions and sharing lessons on building gender-equal, women-empowering, and care-responsive social enterprises.

The day ended with a powerful Wall of Commitment—turning shared visions into action. ✨

🌏 5th SEAL Asia 2026 | Day 3 Highlights
Closing the Conversation, Continuing the Movement. 💙

The final day of the 5th Social Enterprise Advocacy and Leveraging (SEAL) Asia Conference, held last August 14, brought together key reflections and commitments through the last Plenary Session and Closing Plenary.

Across three days, the conference explored critical issues—from the digital divide and climate crisis to women’s economic empowerment, social investments, and the role of universities in advancing social entrepreneurship. 🌱🤝

As the conference came to a close, participants celebrated the ideas shared, connections strengthened, and collective commitments made toward a more inclusive, sustainable, and equitable future.

The conference may have ended, but the movement continues. ✨

Exciting news! ISEA and Internet Society (ISOC) have officially entered into a partnership on social entrepreneurship and community-centered connectivity initiatives (CCCIs) to bridge the digital divide in Asia!

By combining ISEA’s expertise in social entrepreneurship with ISOc’s leadership in Internet policy and technology, we aim to empower social enterprises through CCCIs. Together, we committed to sustainable development and ensuring that the benefits of the Internet reach the unconnected, contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals.
