A night of gratitude and Celebration ️ 🎉

Last December 13, SAO Philippines celebrated its Volunteer Appreciation Night, honoring the hearts and hands behind the CHAMP Project. Grateful to Mission Alliance, SAO Philippines, the Local Government Unit of Banate, CHAMPS Network, Batang Listo, and our amazing volunteers for being part of this meaningful gathering. Your dedication, partnership, and service continue to inspire hope and positive change in our communities.

Project CHAMP Handover Ceremony
The handover ceremony of Project CHAMP was successfully held during the celebration of the Kasag Festival in Banate, Iloilo, marking a meaningful milestone for the project.

The event was attended by Mission Alliance, SAO Philippines, the Local Government Unit of Banate, the CHAMPS Network, Batang Listo, and our dedicated volunteers. A symbolic turnover highlighted the shared commitment and strong partnership in sustaining the project’s impact within the community.

This Children’s Month Celebration, SAO Philippines Inc in partnership with Immanuel Christian Fellowship conducted a seminar-workshop on Responding to the Invisible Wounds: A Child Protection and Psychological First Aid in Emergencies last November 22 at Immanuel Christian Fellowship, Maruz Subd. Gen. Santos City.

The activity was participated by 31 participants coming from 5 (five) churches and 1 (one) Christian School in Gen. Santo City. The participants – mostly pre-school teachers and Sunday School teachers have gained insights and skills from various topics like Understanding God’s Heart for Children, RA 10821 (The Children's Emergency Relief and Protection Act), Family Emergency Plan & GO Bag and Psychological First Aid Principles and Practice. The said seminar-workshop was facilitated by Juniper A. Bibiolata of SAO PH & Adlin S. Bibiolata, a former SAO Staff.

SAO Philippines collaborates with the Community Church of the Risen Lord in celebrating Children's Month (November) exploring the subject on Understanding God's Heart for Children.

God's View of Children will be shared by Armi Martinez; God's Vision and Intention of Children by Abegail Reanzares and finally God's Vision for a Child-friendly World by Juniper Bibiolata.

ROAR has created a ripple effect.

Around 500 participants from various sectors came together as the Municipality of Banate LGU, Project ROAR, CHAMP Network, Batang Listo, ISUFST, Iloilo Medical Society, the Local Youth Development Council, and local CSOs joined the launching of the Municipal Action for Natural Greenbelt Rehabilitation and Ocean Vitality Enhancement (MANGROVE) Project.

The kickoff activities included mangrove planting, a coastal clean-up, and an environmental advocacy forum.

These environmental actions were inspired by Project ROAR, which continues to drive purposive initiatives that promote ownership and raise awareness among stakeholders on responsible plastic use and related programs. This strategic response aims to help ensure a cleaner Banate Bay and more abundant marine resources for the future.
