Naitas NCR North represented by its Chapter President, Maxi V. Ramos and Aleth Agulto together with National Association of Independent Travel Agencies (NAITAS) National President Joseph Chua, paid a courtesy visit to the Quezon City Tourism Department (QCTD) headed by Ms. Gianna Barata for discussions about collaborative programs and activities for Quezon City (QC) Tourism.
One of the proposed highlights is the celebration of a Gala Night for Balikbayans during the Christmas Holiday, calling for a festive and colorful occasion to celebrate the season of joy and to bring in more balikbayans visiting the city during the holidays. It is hoped that in holding this Gala, Quezon City may be seen as a premier retirement and leisure destination for balikbayans and retiring expats who have made QC as their home. The meeting further brought in proposals from NCR North for possible assistance (marketing and promotion) from QCTD to hold seminars and workshops at the QC MICE Center as a possible venue and thereafter encourage more tourism stakeholders to be involved and be invited into the membership of the Association. Also discussed, about a possible tie-up to initiate engagement in Fiesta America happening in New Jersey, USA in August this year; as well as, organizing the More to Explore Travel Expo to kick off the promotion of the Naitas Travel Expo or NTEX.
