Have you ever prayed and wondered why you still feel anxious? Have you ever asked God for strength, yet found yourself struggling to get through the day?

Sometimes, emotional and mental struggles can affect not only how we feel but also how we experience our faith. We may question ourselves, wonder if we're doing something wrong, or feel guilty because we cannot seem to find the peace we keep praying for.

But struggling does not mean you have stopped believing. And having questions does not mean you have abandoned God.

We don't have to hide our doubts from God. We can bring Him our weariness, our fears, and even our inability to understand what we are going through.

And when our struggles become too heavy, we can also allow others to accompany us and seek the help we need.

If this prayer speaks to your heart, may it bring you comfort. And if someone you love is going through a difficult season, consider sharing it with them.

If you need someone to talk to, send us a message.

We are often much kinder to other people than we are to ourselves.

We tell a friend to rest, but criticize ourselves for taking a break.

We tell someone else that asking for help is okay, but feel guilty when we need support.

We remind others that one difficult day doesn't define them, yet expect ourselves to keep going without slowing down.

Perhaps today's reminder is simply this:

You are also someone worth caring for.

Your well-being matters.

Your feelings matter.

Your need for rest matters.

And taking care of yourself doesn't take away from the care you give to others.

As we continue Mental Health Month, may we learn that compassion isn't something we should only offer outward.

We can extend some of it to ourselves, too. 🤍

If this is something you need to hear today, save it. And if you know someone who is always caring for everyone else, send it to them.

Pope Leo's October prayer is that the Church may become “a safe space where everyone has a place - a community that accompanies and never excludes, that listens without judging and draws near without fear."

We celebrate Mental Health Day, together with the Philippine Mental Health Association, Inc., we come together, as Light Of Jesus Family - Feast Mega Manila communities, to deepen our training in being pastoral carers for selected Feast servants!

We pray to fulfill that mission to bridge the need for mental health, in our Catholic community and beyond! Bless our work, so we can bless more those struggling! 🙏

There are people around us whose pain we may never see.

The colleague who keeps smiling.
The parent who keeps providing.
The student who keeps attending class.
The friend who is always the one checking on everyone else.

We should be careful not to assume that someone's outward appearance tells us everything about what is happening inside.

We may not always know who needs help.

But we can choose to become people who make reaching out easier.

Less judgment.
More listening.
Less rushing to give advice.
More willingness to simply be present.

If someone comes to mind, perhaps don't just think of them.
Reach out. Share this prayer with them.

Schedule a care session.

One of the hardest things about struggling can be finding the words to tell someone.

We might worry about being a burden.

We might think, “Other people have bigger problems.”

We might not even understand our own feelings well enough to explain them.

That's why creating a culture of openness matters.

When people know they won't immediately be judged, lectured, dismissed, or told to simply “look on the bright side,” it becomes a little easier to reach out.

And when someone does reach out, we don't always need to fix the situation.

We can listen.

We can sit with them.

We can say, “Thank you for telling me.”

That kind of response can make a person feel less alone.

🤍 Who is someone you want to be a safe person for?

Schedule a care session today.

We are usually good at noticing when something is wrong with our phones, our cars, our homes, even our children.

But how often do we stop and ask, “How am I doing?”

Not how productive we have been.
Not whether we finished everything on our list.
Not whether everyone around us is okay.

How am I doing?

A regular emotional check-in can help us become more aware of what we're experiencing and what kind of support we might need.

Try making this a small habit: pause for a few minutes at the end of the day and answer the three questions on today's post.

There is no “right” answer.

The goal isn't to judge what you feel.
It's simply to notice.

And sometimes, noticing is the first step toward taking better care of ourselves. 🌿

💾 Keep this post somewhere you can return to it.

We live in a culture that often celebrates being busy.

Busy can look like productivity.
Busy can look like responsibility.
Busy can even look like success.

But being constantly busy doesn't mean we are doing well.

There are times when what we need isn't another thing to accomplish, but a moment to breathe and remember that we are not machines. We are people with limits, emotions, needs, and souls that also need tending.

Jesus' invitation in Matthew 11:28 is beautifully simple: Come.

Not “Come when you've finished everything.”
Not “Come when you've figured it all out.”

Just come.

What might it look like for you to receive that invitation today?

🤍 If someone you love has been carrying too much lately, this may be a verse worth sending their way.

If you need a space to allow you to pause, send us a message for a care session.

Some days, we don't need another reminder to “be strong.”

We need permission to admit that we're tired.

Mental and emotional exhaustion can be easy to overlook especially when we are still managing to do what needs to be done. We may not even recognize how much we have been carrying until our patience becomes shorter, our thoughts become heavier, or even small things begin to feel overwhelming.

Today, we're simply bringing that tiredness to God.

And perhaps this is also a good day to check on someone who has been unusually quiet, someone who always seems to have everything together, or someone who is constantly taking care of everyone else.

A message doesn't have to be complicated.

“How are you, really?”

Sometimes, that is where care begins. 🤍

🙏 May this prayer be a quiet place to pause today.

If you need someone to talk to, send us a message.
