Studying the Word was/is such a journey. From Scripture Observation to Bible Study Leading, there's so much more to discover about the character of the Lord.

We praise God because beyond these different methods of studying the Word, it is still His power and authority that truly helps our hearts to connect to His through the Scripture.

As John Stott said, "the secret is found not just in mastering certain techniques, but in being mastered by certain convictions."

𝘽𝙇𝙀𝙎𝙎𝙀𝘿 𝙎𝘼𝘽𝘽𝘼𝙏𝙃, 𝙆𝘼-𝙄𝙑𝙂𝘼𝙉𝙎! 🍃🌳

Keeping the Sabbath is also one of the highlights in Kawayan Camp.

Sabbath comes from the Hebrew word "Shabbat" which primarily means 𝒕𝒐 𝒄𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒆 𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒐 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒍𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒓. More than just taking a day of rest, sabbath-keeping is also a way of honoring that pausing and resting from work and worry is part of the life rhythm God beautifully and thougthfully designed.

Campers were given an opportunity to practice Sabbath every Sunday inside the camp; a gift of time to...

🌱 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 - activities that help the body rest
🌱 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 - activities that will bring joy or reenergize you
🌱 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐥 - the invitation to renew the soul through worship and quiet reflection

We praise God beceause Sabbath did not end inside Camp Bato.
We praise God for the opportunity to continually observe Sabbath up to this day and the days to come - back here at home.

Art, crafts, sleeping, breathing, writing, singing, reading a verse or a chapter, simply just looking at the sky or clouds, and other simple ways to keep the Sabbath... what a treat it is to remember and realize we could actually pause and quietly reflect through various ways - with the Lord, wherever we are.

And with that,
we thank God for the opportunity to experience Sabbath inside KC,
we thank God for the gift of Sabbath today,
we thank God for the gift of Sabbath on the next weeks to come.

MMRU SPOTTED: Sabbath Day and Spiritual Retreat @ 💙🔷

𝙐𝙉𝙄𝘽𝙀𝙍𝙎𝙄𝘿𝘼𝘿 🗣 𝙈𝙀𝙏𝙍𝙊 𝙈𝘼𝙉𝙄𝙇𝘼 🗣

Representing the chapters and students of UP, FEU, OLFU, PNU, ATENEO, PUP, and the rest of Metro Manila campuses, MMRU delegates were spotted at '𝐌𝐚𝐌𝐚𝐑𝐔 𝐈𝐊𝐎𝐓'!

During the Campus Festival at Kawayan Camp, the region shared the story of Bea (one of our delegates this year) and 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗵𝗲𝗿 through IVCF.

Now back to their home chapters, MMRU delegates return with a joyful and humble heart to serve, support, and/or pray for another school year; some as student EXEC, and some as alumni Ates and Kuyas.

As we look back through these Student's Day photos, join us in praying for our delegates' chapters and universities 🙏🏽

🌻 𝗦𝗩𝗖𝗙 | University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman

- Leading and wisdom from the Lord for the current execs
- Spiritual growth for the SV Diliman in being salt and light in the campus

- Leading ng Lord (kung sino ang iplaplace niya for the position of secretary sa TAMCF)
-Provision and sustenance ng Lord for this A.Y. sa mga student-leaders ng TAMCF

💚 𝗦𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗚 | Our Lady of Fatima Valenzuela (OLFU-VAL)

- Leading ng Lord, commitment, conviction, humility, knowledge, wisdom and strength of every exec of SaligCF.
- Partnership with others organizations.
-Financial funds, budget and fundraising.
-New members and freshies member of SaligCF.
- bonds and friendships that will be built sa SaligCF

🦅 𝗜𝗩𝗖𝗙 𝗞𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗣𝗨𝗡𝗔𝗡 | Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU)

- To remain faithful in prayer as they prepare for the next SY
- For God to raise up leaders and students who are hungry for His Word, especially the one who will wholeheartedly lead the chapter
- Heed and obey the Lord’s will regarding what direction we will take in terms of re-connecting with students (intentional discipleship)

🔥 𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗟𝗔𝗪 | Philippine Normal University (PNU)

- Guidance of the Lord for the new set of leaders in TCF.
- For His light to shine in the hearts of the new Tanglawers who are seeking Him, and to renew the faith of the old members.

🛡️ 𝗞𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗔𝗚 | Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP)

- God's leading for KCF's upcoming REAP and new set of student-leaders for A.Y. 2026-2027
- Well-being of the students for the new school year and semesters.

Another academic year will unfold and begin this month, and we praise Jesus for He is already in the campuses ahead of the communities He sent to share His love and grace. ❤️‍🔥

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙨 🔥

This is the kind of leader MMRU delegates and facilitators reflected on during one of their QTTs at Kawayan Camp.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞? A question our students, volunteers, and staffs pondered and meditated together as they went through the passage in Isaiah 61:1-3.

Isaiah described the Messiah’s God-ordained mission to minister to the needs of the poor and disadvantaged:
⭐ Proclaim good news
⭐ Bind up a broken-hearted heart
⭐ Proclaim freedom to the captives
⭐ Release prisoners from darkness
⭐ Comfort those who are mourning

Students and staffs were challenged to reflect on how they might engage in this mission and ministry; not just as leaders, but as well as people who are also recipient of this good news and as followers of Jesus.

Yesterday marks the first month since the camp ended.

And as the days go further away from KC season, let us continue to pray for our delegates to still linger in the Word, and have a longing to see opportunities to engage and serve those whom Jesus seeks to find and save.

MMRU SPOTTED: Quiet Time Together @ 🔥🔷

ᴛᴡᴏ ᴇᴠᴇɴᴛꜱ, ᴏɴᴇ ᴍɪꜱꜱɪᴏɴ.
𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱. 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱. 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝘁.

"𝐴𝑠 𝑡𝒉𝑒 𝐹𝑎𝑡𝒉𝑒𝑟 𝒉𝑎𝑠 𝑠𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑚𝑒, 𝐼 𝑎𝑚 𝑠𝑒𝑛𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑦𝑜𝑢." — 𝐽𝑜𝒉𝑛 20:21

Last August 5–6, student leaders and fresh graduates gathered for the 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 × 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 2026 to celebrate God's faithfulness throughout the 2025–2026 academic year and prepare for the journey ahead.

For the student leaders, Ate Joy discussed the campus essentials, including IVCF's mission, vision, core values, and the discipleship process, while Ate Shi equipped them with practical ways to facilitate meaningful small groups.

Meanwhile, the fresh graduates heard from Ate Kane about living out their faith in the workplace, highlighting the Workplace Ministry. Kuya Jonathan then shared practical and pragmatic insights on transitioning from college to the workplace.

The day concluded with a devotion led by Kuya Jonathan and Ate Pearl, reminding everyone that authentic leadership is marked by prioritizing well-being, pursuing spiritual growth, bearing the fruit of the Spirit, and modeling Christ-likeness.

On the second day, through Kuya Kenny's discussion, the student leaders and fresh graduates were encouraged to view resource development and biblical fundraising as opportunities to further advance God's kingdom.

Lastly, the event concluded with the presentation of the newly elected Manila Leaders' Council 2026–2027, who will serve alongside the staff workers and lead the preparations for DLTC 2027.

Truly, more than a leadership summit & graduate retreat, this event was a reminder that God faithfully 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀, 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 His people to serve Him wherever He leads.
